Why do Democrats hate animals?
Okay, that statement might be a bit too sweeping. But if Dr. Anthony Fauci, Congressman Shri Thanedar, and New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s squirrel-snatchers are any indication, then I’m sensing a pattern.
We all remember the horrific experiments funded by Dr. Anthony “Mengele” Fauci’s (channeling Lara Logan) National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) in which beagle puppies were subject to the vilest conditions imaginable in the name of “science”. The good people at the nonprofit White Coat Waste Project did yeoman’s work in bringing this criminality to light.
The WCW folks are experts in using the Freedom of Information Act to expose government malevolence. They tell us that roughly half of Fauci’s 2021 budget of $6 billion went toward animal experiments of one sort or another.
In one case, Fauci gave nearly half a million dollars to scientists to infect otherwise healthy beagle puppies with a parasite so that they could test an experimental drug to fight the parasite. The thing is that the drug had already been tested in mice, gerbils, and macaque monkeys. The beagle experiments were cruel and redundant at best. The beagles would be euthanized at the end of the trial.
In NIH-funded experiments carried out at the University of Iowa from 2017 to 2019, hound dogs who had been abandoned by their owners and donated to the university for research purposes, had mesh cages full of hungry sand flies attached to their ears for the flies to bite. Imagine how utterly depraved the scientists doing this work had to be. The ostensible purpose was to infect the dogs with a parasite called Leishmania. We again have the good people at WCW using FOIA to bring these experiments to light. These dogs were killed at the end of the experiments and necropsied. Again, drugs to treat Leishmaniasis already existed, and therefore, these cruel experiments were unnecessary. NIH and NIAID, according to WCW’s review of federal databases, had spent nearly $10 million on these experiments.
Then we have the recently publicized case of Congressman Shri Thanedar, Democrat of Michigan, who has filed articles of impeachment against President Trump. This piece of work owned a laboratory called AniClin Preclinical Services in New Jersey, which went bankrupt in 2010. One hundred eighteen beagles were abandoned in cages, according to media reports. It was only thanks to noble ex-lab workers who would jump the fence of the closed facility and get inside to give the dogs food and water, before animal rights groups were notified and able to rescue the pooches, some of whom had never set foot outside their cages. Then, at the time, Thanedar blamed Bank of America, which had seized AniClin properties as part of the bankruptcy proceedings, for not taking care of the animals. And this guy is now a leading Democrat light in Congress?
Beagles, it should be noted, are often favored by scientists for experimentation because of their docile nature. But even beagles can only take so much. In more Fauci-funded animal experiments, 44 beagle puppies aged six to eight months were reportedly repeatedly injected or force-fed an experimental drug over weeks. But the animals’ cries of pain became too distressing for the scientists, who therefore cut out the puppies’ vocal cords in a procedure called a “cordectomy.” Barking problem solved. Nice.
In a somewhat different vein of Democrats going after the animals, we have the case of New York Governor Kathy Hochul siccing her Department of Environmental Conservation jackboots on the home of Mark Longo in upstate New York, where they seized a pet squirrel named Peanut and a pet raccoon named Fred. Longo hosted popular social media accounts featuring the antics of Peanut (aka, P’Nut) and Fred, whom Longo had cared for for years and trained. Longo had rescued Peanut as a baby after his mother was killed by a car.
My own investigation of this case for Judicial Watch was revealing, with records I obtained following our lawsuit over my records request showing that an impressive team of at least 12 law enforcement agents was sent by New York State to raid Longo’s residence for his entertaining wildlife. New York State should go after the murderous, child-raping illegal aliens in its jurisdiction with such gusto. One of our more interesting findings was that the lead agent in the raid operation was already scouting out animal control personnel who could euthanize Peanut and Fred the day before the raid took place! Yet we’re to believe that these two hapless creatures were euthanized because Peanut ostensibly bit the thumb of a highly trained animal control agent through her leather glove. Spare me.
I don’t know why leading Democrats love torturing and killing animals. I suspect it is somehow linked to their love of aborting baby humans. There is something about innocence that gets under their skin.
