The media will keep on shouting, “It doesn’t change the outcome.”
We’ll see about that. But what’s interesting here is the pattern and the now undeniable reality that a whole lot of votes in a presidential election can just vanish.
A memory card that hadn’t been uploaded in Fayette County, just south of Atlanta, was discovered during a hand tally of the votes in the presidential race that stems from part of a legally mandated audit to ensure the new election machines counted the votes accurately, said Gabriel Sterling, a top official in the secretary of state’s office.
The memory card’s 2,755 votes are not enough to flip the lead in the state from Democrat Joe Biden to Republican President Donald Trump. The breakdown of the uncounted ballots was 1,577 for Trump, 1,128 for Biden, 43 for Libertarian Jo Jorgensen and seven write-ins, Sterling said.
Election officials on Monday said Floyd County, in north Georgia, had found more than 2,500 ballots that hadn’t been previously scanned.
Both counties will have to recertify their results, and the margin between Trump and Biden will be about 13,000 votes when those previously uncounted votes are accounted for, Sterling said.
And meanwhile over in Walton County…
The audit of votes in the presidential race revealed missing votes in Walton County.
Two hundred eighty-four ballots were added from the Between precinct. They netted 176 votes for President Donald Trump.
More interesting than the number is the cause.
Lori Wood, chairwoman of the Board of Election, said the Between precinct had two scanners.
“One of them got uploaded and another one didn’t,” she said.
Back in Floyd County…
Reports that a memory card was not removed from a machine are disputed. Local elections officials said a replacement scanner used at the Floyd County Administration Building for early voting apparently did not tabulate some of the ballots.
And in Fayette County, more scanner issues.
During Early Voting for the November 2020 Election, the Peachtree City Library discovered Dominion scanners stop accepting ballots once 10,000 ballots are scanned through them. On Oct. 27 the scanner at the Fayette County Public Library showed that it was nearing 10,000 scanned ballots.
In an effort to continue with uninterrupted voting, the County Registrar requested the Dominion Technician to make sure the scanner at the library would continue without stopping or slowing the election. The Dominion Technician removed a memory card from the Fayette County Library’s scanner and replaced it with a new memory card. The removed memory card was then taken by the Dominion Technician to the Fayette County Elections Office. The new memory card remained in the scanner located at the Fayette County Library.
There are two possible tracks here. And none of them are, “this isn’t a huge problem”.
1. This is a huge problem, but not evidence of election tampering.
2. This is a huge problem, and is evidence of election tampering.
Meanwhile the media and the political machines are going with
3. This is not a problem. Stop noticing.
