After 30 years of ANC rule by Mandela and his increasingly more corrupt klepto-commie successors, what is there to dismantle?
Besides the ANC’s own racism.
Apartheid has long since gone. A generation grew up without it and soon so will another. All they will know is ANC rule. And ANC rule has meant racism, violent crime and a regime so corrupt that it can’t keep the lights on, but can ally with Russia, China and Hamas.
South Africa is a racist hellhole not because of apartheid but because of the ANC.
The end of apartheid didn’t usher in an end to democracy, but one-party rule. It didn’t end racism, just flipped it around. Most of the country grew poorer and less safe.
The responsibility lies with the same international community that insisted on the ANC, a Communist-backed terrorist movement, taking power. The hagiographies of Nelson Mandela can’t change the fact of what the ANC was. And Mandela’s successors had less self-control than he did. After him the thievery grew out of control. So did the abuses with one of Mandela’s successors facing a rape trial.
But the likeliest alternative to the ANC is a party whose leader, Julius Malema, talks openly about killing all the white people.
It didn’t have to end like this, but those who chose to champion the ANC while turning Mandela into a plaster saint refuse to acknowledge what has been going on or to take any responsibility for it.
I think it did have to end like this. There are plenty of decent Bantus but there are more than enough to have transmogrified South Africa from the most advanced African nation by far into the country with the most murders, rapes and general crime in the world – by far. And the overwhelming majority of the population are ethnic Bantu.
Just like bad neighborhoods here in America, even a small amount of scumbags can ruin it. Cities in Europe with moslems are the same.
I know there are plenty of decent Bantus, especially the chicks, because I’ve known some. South Africa also makes some good TV series with black casts, although I notice crime is prevalent in all of them..
There is not one, not one black nation in Africa, that has gained independence, that can show that it is better off economically, educationally, etc than they are now. After driving off their former colonial populations, they expelled or exterminated all foreigners, then turned their sights on ethnic minorities. Paved roads, railroads, mines, farms, factories, airports, ports, hospitals all died. Crime soared.
I The only industry that soared was foreign aid.
Yes, I’ve seen practical Africans in formerly British colonies who wish the British would come back because they miss rule of law and infrastructure which functions.
Yeah, when I was into world traveling the former British colonies were still relying on ancient British infrastructure. It was that good. Britain and Germany were the two world leaders in engineering technology before WW1, then foolishly went to war against each other, resulting in their ruination..
WWI was a terrible waste, wasn’t it? Stupid ass Kaiser.
I’ve read real horror stories about German colonies in Africa. The worst one I remember was one where they enslaved an entire tribe and worked them all to death in a mine and then collected their bones for Mengele type studies and kept many of them, some of which are in a museum somewhere. And by tribe I mean a very populous one, not some village. It was genocide.
If I were a sub Saharan African in colonial times, Id want to live in a British one and if not that, French. The Germans were murderous monsters and pillagers and the Belgians were so incompetent they inspired Joseph Conrad to write “Heart of Darkness,” which is one of my favorite books. The Dutch in South Africa were colonists and they didn’t take anybody’s land because nobody lived there except small bands of Bushmen here and there who had no conception of land ownership or even territory and didn’t care. They got along with the Dutch just fine.
To claim it didn’t have to happen this way reveals the author’s unrequited hope that Bantus can ever govern themselves beyond the level of a village, much less governing different black ethnicities. Error envisioned through hope is the worst cruelty because there is no end to it.
I was teaching a class when Desmond Tutu visited Berkeley in the mid-1980s. I got in trouble, when some students asked for my political views, for saying it would be best to concentrate on getting an education rather than demonstrating 🙂

And we’d all be better off if colleges and university students concentrated on studying rather than demonstrations.

South Africa used to be a developed country and that was possible because the gang that cannot be named was prevented from destroying the country for decades. The very same decades that the “apartheid” was in place. What a coincidence.
Once “apartheid” was dismantled, the protection from the usual destroyers ended and the destruction began. Chicago, NYC, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Detroit. and many others also dropped the protections. Now they are all South Africa. Maybe it’s another coincidence.
New Orleans is approaching equivalency in this horrendous social degradation.

I don’t know. I’ve never been to South Africa but I’ve been to Detroit and it’s the worst place I’ve ever been in my life. Even the exurbs are awful. I’ll never go to a place that’s probably even worse, like South Africa.
Apartheid in reverse isn’t so hot either.

Satan, at his most horrible worst, will always disguise himself and his actions in the raiment of Public Law (it’s for your safety) or as Municipal Ordinances (it’s for the politician’s safety). For real genuine kicks and giggles, Satan gives everyone their own laws. Some will even be entitled to their own firing squads and gas chambers. Others will be “elected” president three times. Apartheid in South Africa never left: It just changed sides and reverted to being brutally tribal and anti-Western.
We never learn from history. We only have to look at what happened to Rhodesia now Zimbabwe. When the blacks/communists took over it went from being a peaceful prosperous nation to a hell-hole. S Africa has gone/is going the same way
Zimbabwe was Africa’s top exporter of agricultural products and now it relies on imports and charity.
They had to adopt the USA dolla as official moola to get out of hyperinflation 🙂
Yeah wan’t it a billion of their old currency to one dollar? I exaggerate but it was way up there.
I remember in Indonesia that even when the currency, the rupiah, was stable it was 10,000 to one dollar. That was dumb. That meant transactions in the millions were common. During the economic crisis in 1997 and it went all the way to 50,000 at one point, only a guy like you would’ve been able to figure out transactions without having to concentrate so hard you couldn’t see straight and almost passed out, LOL.
A trillion Zimbabwes was worth less than a penny 🙂
South Africa will dissolve like Rhodesia did as they kill or push out the whites, then the indies, and all others except Africans.
