On June 6th, violent rioters in Los Angeles took to the streets with the unlawful intent of obstructing ICE agents from doing their job of enforcing U.S. immigration laws. The riots took place as ICE agents were duly executing federal search warrants at various locations in Los Angeles to find and apprehend illegal immigrants. The agents focused on the worst of the worst criminal aliens and those illegal immigrants with final deportation orders hiding in the shadows.
Rioters set cars on fire and threw rocks at immigration law enforcement officers, threatening their lives and causing physical injury. Rioters left messages such as “KILL ICE.” The violence escalated on June 7th, the second day of the riots, which prompted President Donald Trump to deploy the National Guard to protect federal law enforcement agents from the mob attacks.
For example, Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin posted on X that
“@FoxNews has obtained intense video showing @CBP [Customs and Border Protection] agents’ perspective inside their vehicle as it is pelted with rocks while they attempt to leave the anti-ICE protest in Paramount, CA today. You can hear & see the windows & windshield breaking w/ each hit. Federal source who sent me this video tells this attack could have killed one of the Border Patrol agents or caused a serious crash. The rocks broke clean through the windshield, leaving a gaping hole.”
Los Angeles Democrat Mayor Karen Bass’s first reaction to the riots when they began on June 6th was appalling. “This morning, we received reports of federal immigration enforcement actions in multiple locations in Los Angeles,” Mayor Bass said. “As Mayor of a proud city of immigrants, who contribute to our city in so many ways, I am deeply angered by what has taken place. These tactics sow terror in our communities and disrupt basic principles of safety in our city. My Office is in close coordination with immigrant rights community organizations. We will not stand for this.”
Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom’s office issued a similar statement. “Continued chaotic federal sweeps, across California, to meet an arbitrary arrest quota are as reckless as they are cruel,” the statement declared. “Donald Trump’s chaos is eroding trust, tearing families apart, and undermining the workers and industries that power America’s economy.”
Mayor Bass and Governor Newsom, like other Democrats who support sanctuaries shielding illegal immigrants, not only refuse to distinguish between illegal immigrants and legal immigrants. They refuse to acknowledge the fact that former President Joe Biden opened the floodgates to criminally violent illegal immigrants who are menacing Americans. President Trump is trying to rid the country of these villains who murder, rape, torture, and rob their victims. Instead of thanking the president for taking these dangerous criminals off the streets, Bass and Newsom were willing to stand back while violent rioters attack federal law enforcement officers who are duly executing federal search warrants.
Los Angeles Police Department Chief Jim McDonnell initially took a hands-off approach to the rioting. He stated that “While the LAPD will continue to have a visible presence in all our communities to ensure public safety, we will not assist or participate in any sort of mass deportations, nor will the LAPD try to determine an individual’s immigration status.”
Nobody asked the LAPD to assist or participate in deportations. But being present and not doing anything to quell violent riots and maintain public safety is a dereliction of duty. The police finally took some action, hours after the violence had taken its toll.
“For the far left rioters, some helpful advice; peaceful protest is good. Rioting and obstructing justice is not,” Vice President JD Vance posted on X.
As for President Trump, he had enough of the anarchy in the Los Angeles streets, which put federal law enforcement officers and the public in serious danger. He decided to federalize the National Guard and send 2000 National Guard members to Los Angeles to restore law and order. They began arriving in Los Angeles on Sunday morning and taking their positions to protect federal law enforcement agents and federal property.
The White House issued the following statement explaining why the president took this action:
“In recent days, violent mobs have attacked ICE Officers and Federal Law Enforcement Agents carrying out basic deportation operations in Los Angeles, California. These operations are essential to halting and reversing the invasion of illegal criminals into the United States. In the wake of this violence, California’s feckless Democrat leaders have completely abdicated their responsibility to protect their citizens. That is why President Trump has signed a Presidential Memorandum deploying 2,000 National Guardsmen to address the lawlessness that has been allowed to fester. The Trump Administration has a zero-tolerance policy for criminal behavior and violence, especially when that violence is aimed at law enforcement officers trying to do their jobs. These criminals will be arrested and swiftly brought to justice. The Commander-in-Chief will ensure the laws of the United States are executed fully and completely.”
Predictably, Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom and Mayor Bass strenuously objected. Governor Newsom claimed that the deployment of National Guard troops is “purposefully inflammatory” and will “only escalate tensions.” Bass shamelessly asserted, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that Los Angeles was “well equipped to handle” any violence. She added that “2000 officers, 2000 in our city will not be a positive thing and will not be helpful.”
Tom Homan, President Trump’s border czar, scoffed at these criticisms of the president’s action. “President Trump is deploying the National Guard because they’re going to support our law enforcement efforts here that will help protect public safety,” Mr. Homan told NBC News. “Help us take these criminals off the street. Stop applauding the protesters and support law enforcement. Gov. Newsom should be on the phone thanking President Trump for making a state safer.”
On Sunday – the third day of unrest in Los Angeles – hundreds of agitators gathered to confront National Guard troops and federal law enforcement officials trying to protect ICE agents and a federal building. During the melee, rioters began throwing objects at the troops to which they responded with tear gas and pepper spray.
The rioters in Los Angeles attacking federal law enforcement officers, destroying federal property, and defacing federal facilities are engaged in domestic violence that is obstructing the execution of the laws of the United States. This is grounds for President Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act if he wishes to do so.
As of the writing of this article, however, President Trump was hedging on whether to treat the rioters as insurrectionists and send in active-duty military soldiers to reinforce the National Guardsmen. If he decides to do so, there is a precedent for active-duty military soldiers to be called into Los Angeles to put an end to a violent riot. Back in 1992, during the Rodney King riots, President George H.W. Bush sent 3,500 active-duty Army and Marines to back 10,000 federalized National Guardsmen, using his authority under the Insurrection Act.
Despite the howls from Democrats and pro-illegal immigration activists, President Trump should not hesitate to use all lawful measures at his disposal, including the Insurrection Act, to put an end to the riots impeding federal immigration law enforcement. Criminally violent illegal immigrants and illegal immigrants with final deportation orders deserve only a one-way ticket to their home countries or whichever countries will take them.
KamelToe the Marxist should get out there and lead her Marxist revolutionary comrades.
Shout out to Scam Blondi: Incitement is a federal offense:
18 U.S. Code § 373 – Solicitation to commit a crime of violence
(a) Whoever, with intent that another person engage in conduct constituting a felony that has as an element the use, attempted use, or threatened use of physical force against property or against the person of another in violation of the laws of the United States, and under circumstances strongly corroborative of that intent, solicits, commands, induces, or otherwise endeavors to persuade such other person to engage in such conduct, shall be imprisoned not more than one-half the maximum term of imprisonment or (notwithstanding section 3571) fined not more than one-half of the maximum fine prescribed for the punishment of the crime solicited, or both; or if the crime solicited is punishable by life imprisonment or death, shall be imprisoned for not more than twenty years.
Twenty years is perfect for KamelToe and her Marxist revolutionaries.
KamelToe for Supermax or Gitmo.
All it took at Kent State was one guardsman who discharged a live round. It got pretty quiet after that day.
In 1972 I saw a US Army training film showing all the Guard did wrong at Kent State.
Governor Nuisance and Loud Mouth Bass should held responsible for everything and rioters should all be deported back to where they came from in the first place
Where are the flag grenades, and water cannons? 10,000 troops sounds like a good start.
Beat them all into piss puddles.
Another genius comment from the guy who bragged he beat up a defenseless homeless guy
Another genius comment from the jihad wannabe who brags daily about the AK armed Hamasimeans who killed a bunch of unarmed teens at a music festival.
You are just so brave when under fire….said no one ever.
Another lie by a left-wing twat sandwich. How many times did you take it up the ass this morning?
Now you want to lie that you didn’t brag about beating up a homeless man? What a tool you are.
I guess because you think you use profanity that makes you a tough guy. Well, your wife is doing a great job teaching you Ebonics as your second language.
Twats aren’t sandwiches.
Twats are tacos.
Unless physical action is taken the Guard being there is pointless.
Yes, I just saw them on TV standing with shields as rioters bounce off them but not beating them into dog shit as they should. What a waste. All appearance and no action.
Time to play tough no more Kid Glove Treatments for these Invaders let them know Americans will not tolerate their Violent Behavior Looting and Burning tell Der Fehrer Newsom to Close the Border Now
I worry that this is all an establishment setup and that the Federal Troops will kill an innocent black drug dealing criminal and we’re back to square one.
If only Republicans in congress would en masse show support for Trump’s actions instead of doing their usual handwringing in the background. This is an invasion of foreigners. When you enter a country illegal, wrap yourself in that countries flag and attack officers and burn the city you invades, that is an act of war.
That sir is 100% correct it is an act of war.
Let us hope President Trump also sends GN the bill. Why should We the People get stuck with it? Let California foot the bill.
I noticed that the agitprop purveyors over at The Meidas Touch, which I refer to as, The Marxist Touch, are going apoplectic over Trump’s order…. among other things, calling it a “military power grab”. Wait until they find out what AI can do.
My AI assistant “Genny” said this:
AI can rapidly and with high precision determine whether arrested protestors are part of a riot conspiracy group or under foreign influence by analyzing vast datasets—such as geolocation trails, encrypted app metadata, social media patterns, funding sources, and prior digital footprints—within seconds of booking. By cross-referencing phone contacts, travel history, known agitator databases, and network affiliations (including foreign-state-linked disinfo nodes), AI can map connections, flag coordinated behaviors, and detect foreign proxy involvement. This allows authorities to distinguish between isolated actors and embedded operatives in organized networks, enabling lawful, targeted RICO or counterintelligence escalation within constitutional boundaries.
It isn’t the technology that counts; it is the way it is used, when it is used, and how it is used.
…and, of course, the motivation of the ones using.
Bass should be reminded that once the criminal aliens are deported, there will be a lot of housing available for the hard working taxpayers of Los Angeles. And with “supply and demand” factoring in, it should be more affordable.
But that might cause housing costs to DECLINE!! And then there are the people who dole out the money for ILLEGALS who would be out of a job! What to do – what to do!!
“a whiff of grapeshot” works every time. Remember Kent State?
Cutting off all Federal money to sanctuary states should have been done long ago. Politicians always understand money and bullets.
mostly peaceful protest . the democrat brownshirts are at it again . if marxists arent able to rule they will make sure no one else can . best of luck bringing it under control .
“IMMIGRANTS from all over the World leave their Country due to the Corruption and the lack of the Rule of Law, to come here, a Country envied for its Rule of Law. LEGAL IMMIGRANTS stand in line to do it The Long Way, The Hard Way, The Right Way and they’re very bitter at the help given for the ILLEGAL WAY when there was no one there to help them Raise their Right Hand in Allegiance to do it THE HONORABLE WAY! — ILLEGALS, and their Supporters, demand that we overlook our laws for them, therefore making us exactly like The Corrupt and Lawless Country THEY JUST LEFT!” sc
HERE IN NM, (1st Sanctuary State ’86) the Governor and Albuquerque Mayor, (#2 in Crime) both Far-Left Democrats who were DEFUND THE POLICE and who called Trump’s Operation Legend, Storm Troopers, and allowed a BLM MOB to destroy our downtown that has yet to recover, HAVE ORDERED THE NATIONAL GUARD TO HELP WITH THE CRIME PROBLEM THAT THEY ALLOWED! Sure enough, NM Democrats are ranting against Trump’s National Guard, “The Gestapo”, in L.A. to help with the crime! (?) They’re too brainwashed to confront them on that one.
ABQ and Santa Fe DA’s are allowing criminals to be released, no bail, no time, and many commit another crime within 24 hours. THE ACLU DEMANDED THAT! 10,000 cars were stolen in 2018, and the average before and after that is the same. (ILLEGALS stealing cars then driving to Juarez/4hrs.) The Commie Mayor, whose wife studied in Cuba and Nicaragua, and even followed Che’s Motorcycle Journey in South America, tried to lie about the stats and his own Police Chief corrected him live on TV. The Mayor then blamed a computer program, now running for his third term in Pure Blue NM.
Gee, another illegal immigration riot and the Mayor and the governor are wetting their pants. But doing nothing else seems to be the liberal M.O. What is it about ‘illegal’ that liberals don’t get, except when they are importing illiterate voters. Hey Mexico, the Biden party is over.
Note to ICE: the LAPD and the Nat. Guard seems to have rounded the little brown darlings into one spot. Maybe ICE can hold ad hoc hearings on the street, with a couple of ICE detention wagons nearby. A quick hearing, and bundle them off to the wagons and then that three hour ride back to Me-he-co. Aye Caramba!
Do it everywhere. NYC? rinse and repeat. Houston? rinse and repeat. Seattle? rinse and repeat. Phoenix? rinse and repeat, SF? rinse and repeat. Keep it up until every major city is disinfected of the Cucaracha infestation.
Oh yeah, don’t forget the Muslims. Deport ’em all.
June 6? Of course it’s an insurrection. Mostly peaceful but still an Insurrection.
As a native Angelino, married to a Mexican, I feel great sadness over what has happened to our once-great city. I have several in-laws living in the LA area, and I am sure none of them were anywhere near what was happening in the downtown area.
Whoever those thugs were rioting and waving Mexican flags (or Central American and Palestinian flags as well), they should remember that when you are in someone else’s country, you are an ambassador for your own country. They have done a tremendous disservice to their countrymen and their communities.
Is someone organizing these riots or is this fake news? If the news is real, then the snake’s head needs to be cut off. Question #2: is Chad Bianco a viable choice for next year? FPM needs to run an article on him.
