The elites may have to hold one of their show trials in Florida, but the grand jury had to be in D.C.
Judge Aileen Cannon on Monday asked the Justice Department to explain its use of an out-of-state grand jury in the Mar-a-Lago case.
While the Mar-a-Lago case is being handled out of her Fort Pierce, Fla., courtroom, much of the grand jury work ahead of the indictment was conducted through a Washington, D.C., grand jury.
A D.C. grand jury is an obvious rubber stamp for political prosecutors. A D.C. grand jury would indict a ham sandwich, as long as it was a Republican. That’s why the real show is in Washington D.C.
Going down to Florida is a bit inconvenient because it’s one of those provinces of the empire.

A Florida case and a D.C. grand jury. Why not just try all political cases in D.C.?
The easiest way to understand all this is to think of what’s located in Washington D.C. as the occupying force. Much like the British during the American Revolution, it’s the epicenter of the imperial regime that is out of touch with most of the country, but rules over it anyway. Colonials from the hinterlands sometimes visit and are impressed by the big grand buildings. When they come to work there as members of Congress, they’re either taught their manners by their betters until they join the elites or they wash out.
D.C. is the imperial city and they don’t like to venture too far from their base of power.
For many months, Justice Department prosecutors had questioned witnesses in the Florida case before a federal grand jury in Washington. The secret proceedings yielded much of the evidence at the crux of the case. But in May, the grand jury activity appeared to continue at a federal courthouse in Miami. Ultimately, prosecutors filed charges in a West Palm Beach courthouse — a courthouse in the same district as Miami and the area where Mar-a-Lago is located.
Prosecutors said in a court filing last week that they continued to use the grand jury in Washington after they initially charged Trump in June to investigate alleged instances of obstructing the investigation. The focus of the July superseding indictment was on obstruction, alleging that all defendants tried to delete security footage that the government wanted as evidence in the case.
That’s something that allegedly happened in Florida so there’s still no reason for the grand jury to be in D.C.
Trump, unlike Obama, actually left town after Biden took office. Nothing involved in the documents case was taking place in D.C.
The only reason to have a D.C. grand jury is because that’s where the elites and their power base are.
Jurisdiction shopping. So the outcome is rigged in advance. Hardly “rule of law”.
Judge Aileen Cannon has a low tolerance for shenanigans, with a proven track record to back that up. She’s already denied a government motion to keep 80+ witness names under seal. You know she’s being effective by all the ranting and screaming for her dismissal from the usual suspects. I can’t imagine a justification for jury shopping that’ll pass muster with her.
A Trump appointee knows to always please the boss

Besides, Trump is right about everything.
She hasn’t been beholden to Trump since the Senate approved her appointment to the bench, which is the way the Constitution works. What you don’t like is any whiff of justice, which in Trump’s case means either the charges are dismissed or he’s found not guilty on all counts.
Lefties like you want vengeance against their political opponents and you’re willing to pervert justice in order to get it.
And in D.C. the grand jury proceedings were overseen by a Leftist judge who authorized removing the subject’s attorney client confidentiality privilege and allowed Biden to waive Trump’s Presidential executive privilege, both of which were done to Trump in D.C.
As long we’re following Soviet precedent, when can we expect Trump to be shot in the buttock with a pellet of polonium?
