Permanent open borders and the end of national sovereignty were always the obvious endgame.

But the Dems and their leftist backers had worked hard to pretend it wasn’t. Remember the euphemism, “Common sense immigration reform”? Now it’s “Abolish ICE”. And what that really means is ending any and all immigration enforcement. If you show up, you’re in. Come on, down. No more borders, no more country.

Rep. Earl Blumenauer is on board. Kamala Harris, prepping for her 2020 presidential campaign, is approaching it. And Bernie Sanders is being hammered for not calling for it. (If he stays true to form, the socialist who had once argued that open borders was a Koch Brothers plot, will be calling for the end of ICE while surrounded by MS-13 illegal aliens by the end of the week.)

There’s one big problem though.

The left mainstreamed some extreme views because they offered clear benefits or lack of harm to Americans. And because they hid the underlying agenda.

The underlying agenda of #AbolishICE is as subtle as a machete attack by MS-13 members.

Thus far under the guise of resisting Trump, the left has gotten its herds of braying Democrats to get behind Hamas, Socialism and the dismantling of America. But much of this does not play well with independents or even many Democrats.

Abolishing America may be one step too far.
