Expect to see the pro-Hamas rioters, Islamists and leftists, who have terrorized major cities pivot or combine their support for Hamas with their support for the Houthis along with the same false claims of civilian casualties and calls for a ceasefire.
Here’s an early example.
BREAKING:
Anti-Israel protesters react to the airstrikes against Yemen by gathering at Times Square in New York City, chanting:

We have a problem. And our problem is the enemy within.
The People’s Forum, a Chinese-backed group, the Palestinian Youth Movement, PSL and Answer, some of the groups involved in the pro-Hamas riots, had convened the “emergency protest” to “stop the US bombing of Yemen.”
Nearly 200 demonstrators marched and shouted their way through Times Square Thursday night in a last-minute “emergency rally” called to condemn the US bombing of Houthi-linked sites in Yemen
Chants of “hands off the Middle East” and “hands off Gaza” boomed through midtown Manhattan as demonstrators unfurled a banner that stated “Stop the US bombing in Yemen” and waved “Free Palestine” and “End all US aid to Israel” flags.
CAIR, whose leader cheered the Oct 7 attacks, already issued its statement condemning the United States.

“There is a cult of ignorance in the United States, and there has always been. The strain of anti-intellectualism has been a constant thread winding it’s way through our political and cultural life, nurtured by the false notion that ‘my ignorance is just as good as your knowledge’.”
~Isaac Asimov

There is always groups of low IQ people everywhere who will never catch up to civilization standards, no matter what.
Importing more of the same is just national/cultural suicide.

Look how Israel has contributed to medicine, technology, agriculture, music, and life saving procedures. They are not an idle people, and they continue to amaze with their strength inspite of irrational hatred and anti-semetism directed at them,. Jesus said, “If the world hated me first, it will hate you as well.”

Asimov’s words are correct if they are applied to the Left, but I’m afraid he had people like us in mind when he uttered them. Asimov was a thoroughgoing collectivist/statist and ardent Democrat. You can see this most clearly in “The Evitable Conflict” in which the robot brains who are running the economy (! – proof of Asimov’s belief in central planning right there) take the good of “humanity” as their prime directive and destroy the lives of several individual along the way.
(I believe I am recalling this correctly, but it has been fifty years since I read I, Robot.)
There was another story of his in which the government “educates” the public by programming them with the particular skills it thinks necessary (more central planning, this time of the labor market) and subjects anyone capable of original thought to an excruciating psychological ordeal before exploiting their abilities, but I can’t think of its name now.

I felt compelled to read Asimov and Herbert, like I was marx, engels, hitler, lenin, mao, galbraith, and zinn. I was always more comfortable with Heinelin, Anderson, Pournell, Weber, Schmitz, Drake, Tourtledove, and Dick, scifiwise. Locke, Cicero, Aristotle, and our founding fathers philosophically.

“Over a 45-year period, Stock reaches high military rank and then political office, whilst Altmayer is imprisoned and kept under house arrest several times for his radical idealism. He starts political parties and protest movements, all of which fail to achieve their objectives of uniting humanity.
Ultimately, Altmayer’s desire for a united humanity is achieved after a war against the Diaboli. This unity, however, has been realised only through Stock’s political manipulations rather than Altmayer’s idealistic actions. Stock asks his one-time friend to be one of the delegates from Earth to a peace conference, but realizes that history will not record his own participation in the unification of humanity, but will instead vilify him as a cruel and short-sighted politician.”

Glad I don’t have to deal with them. I’d probably have a short exciting life, for what I have to say to them, and end up riding a few of them to judgement. It’s a miracle I’m still alive, more proof God exists.

“Our problem is the enemy within.” Exactly right, Daniel, as always.
Our own domestic Fifth Column — now widespread and growing, and thoroughly embedded in our own most powerful and influential institutions–the media, our most prestigious universities, even in our youngest children’s classrooms–is more powerful, and more dangerous to our survival, than any foreign enemy could ever have been before now.
The U.S. Navy’s response to missiles fired at merchant ships in the Red Sea–and at our own warships–has been heroic, and, so far, effective…given Rules of Engagement that tie our commanders’ hands and forbid our crews from firing except “defensively.”
Haven’t we learned, by now, that “surgical, pinpoint” strikes against an enemy–specifically targeting only the terrorists’ “bases” and “missile launchers,” and “incremental escalation,” tit-for-tat–accomplishes nothing?
I would have thought that we must have satellites in geostationary orbit which can “read a car’s license plate from space,” and should certainly know exactly where the enemy is so that he can be hit and destroyed in advance, instead of waiting to detect the infrared heat of a missile launch, or calculate the missile’s trajectory and likely target, or enemy troop concentration or movement, before firing and destroying all of these targets in advance. Why wait for the launch? To “give them the benefit of the doubt,” and “deter them” from further attacks when they’ve already sworn, repeatedly and out loud, to destroy us?
And another thing: the utter failure of “nation-building” (e.g. in Afghanistan, and before that in Somalia, especially under Bush Sr. and Jr.,) as a well-intentioned but now demonstrably failed, and fully discredited, strategy to “civilize” enemy savages and persuade them to adopt Western norms of culture, behavior, or at least a legitimate government’s duty (according to us) to provide safe, clean drinking water, sewer systems, hospitals, and schools that girls are allowed to attend. Or at least to maintain the ones we’ve wasted billions of dollars, and thousands of our troops’ lives, to build for them.
Any thoughts or response, anybody? Am I wrong about anything at all, here?
