Weakness has consequences.
The Biden administration feigned outrage over China’s spy balloon (after initially trying to cover it up) and pressed on with a visit by Secretary of State Blinken even as Chinese warships and aircraft threatened American vessels and planes, and as China launched massive hacking attacks against America.
Blinken came and went. And announced that China was forgiven for the spy balloon attack even though it not only failed to apologize, but denounced America, and has gone on spying on us.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken told NBC News on Monday that his trip to Beijing marked an “important start” in stabilizing U.S. ties with China and that the countries should move on from the spy balloon incident that postponed his visit earlier this year.
“That chapter should be closed,” Blinken said in an interview before leaving Beijing, where he spent two days meeting with senior Chinese officials and President Xi Jinping.
China agrees. It’s opening a whole other exciting new chapter by putting troops in Cuba.
China and Cuba are negotiating to establish a new joint military training facility on the island, sparking alarm in Washington that it could lead to the stationing of Chinese troops and other security and intelligence operations just 100 miles off Florida’s coast, according to current and former U.S. officials.
Discussions for the facility on Cuba’s northern coast are at an advanced stage but not concluded, U.S. intelligence reports suggest. The Biden administration has contacted Cuban officials to try to forestall the deal, seeking to tap in to what it thinks might be Cuban concerns about ceding sovereignty. Beijing’s effort to establish a military training facility in Cuba hasn’t been previously reported.
Is that how JFK did it? Contact a Communist dictatorship and plead with it not to host an enemy world power’s troops?
And we can trust the Biden administration after it got caught covering up China’s listening post in Cuba.
China has been spying on the U.S. from Cuba for years, according to a Biden administration official.
The admission came days after the Biden administration denied a Wall Street Journal report on Thursday that China and Cuba had reached an agreement to put an electronic eavesdropping facility in Cuba — calling the story inaccurate.
But on Saturday, the administration said that China has had a listening post in Cuba for years, that it was a problem the administration had “inherited” and that China had even upgraded the facility in 2019.
So how long until there’s an official Chinese naval base in Cuba?
Weakness has consequences. The Biden administration is lying to Americans while letting China have its way. The war is on and we’re losing.

What should we do, then? What policy would deter China while avoiding the risk of escalation? Are you pro escalation? Do you understand the consequences of actual conflict between the United States and China?

Do you understand the consequences of Biden’s duplicity?
Its the reason we have blueprints for gallows.
Any American high school shop class can construct the solution. They certainly possess the tools, probably have most of the materials although they may lack sufficient rope.

“What policy would deter China while avoiding the risk of escalation? ”
Thinking that way is exactly why China keeps escalating. Just as the USSR did and Russia does.
If your top priority is to avoid escalation, the other side will keep escalating until you completely surrender or they go beyond what you are willing to tolerate.
The surest way to ensure an escalation is to keep retreating in the face of escalation.

It’s in Mao’s little red book. I can’t remember the exact translation, but the gist was, ‘Advance with your bayonet before you. If you encounter mush, continue forward. If you encounter steel, retreat.’

If you weren’t so arrogant and fixated on “proving” we’re all a bunch of rubes, you might learn something. It’s my understanding that the Taiwanese don’t want us to escalate matters.
By escalate, the Taiwanese mean Nancy Pelosi’s recent visit to Taipei. They didn’t want her to come. Why? Because it absolutely infuriated the Chinese. Taipei asked her not to come, but she came anyway, notwithstanding the CCP’s loss of face.
Pelosi is so pig-headed she can’t be told anything, especially by those cute little “peasants who served her need to appear “above the fold.” Queen Nancy has so little regard for what our allies tell us, she’d start a nuclear war and almost did rather than losing an opportunity to show how powerful she is. Nancy doesn’t live in places that our adversaries could crush like a bug in a heartbeat, so it’s no surprise.

We should use Trump’s magic wand, that obama didn’t think he had. There’s lots of things the USA can do, short of war. After all, China’s economy is dependent on US markets, but dems made a point of reversing Trump’s policies, which were getting concessions out of the chicoms for a change. The dems’ and rino’s only policy is to get on their knees and give xi a rusty trombone. As the article points out and you didn’t even try to refute, that’s failing miserably.

The sad fact is that the USA is the biggest threat to humanity.
Only the USA has used atomic bombs.
It’s the USA that has engaged in wars all over the world and stirs up unrest in many countries.
It is the USA that promotes sodomy worldwide, and has the audacity to sanction any country that does not bow to the agenda of the USA.
The USA has military and naval bases all over the world, and even pesters China with supposed ‘freedom of navigation’ through the South China Sea (note the name ‘China’).
Yet, we are supposed to believe that China is somehow the threat?
Apparently, China potentially opening a military/naval base near America is a problem – despite the fact the USA has inserted itself all over the world.
This is a ridiculous article from Mr Greenfield.

A much weaker USA led by Thomas Jefferson created the policy regarding Cuba of “no transfer” in 1808. The US was going to oppose Spain transferring Cuba to others powers, such as Britain or France. The possibility of France getting Cuba appeared more possible later. It was feared that France would send armies to Spain’s break away colonies to restore Spanish rule and get paid with possession of Cuba,. That led to the foreign policy parts of annual speech to Congress by Monroe (Dec. 2, 1823) being called the Monroe Doctrine. The ideas were those of Sec. of State, John Quincy Adams, except for stating it to the world, instead of diplomatically. Now, no Chinese base, including nukes, would be a good policy to enforce, not only for its obvious value, but to make US policy more credible. Jefferson, Monroe, and all of the Adams would not have taken bribes from foreign powers. Monroe spoke in public because he did not want to hide behind British naval power, which opposed the same outcome and which Monroe did not know had already gotten France to give up the plan to support Spain.

I don’t see anything wrong with China and Cuba forming any agreement regarding military issues. Remember, we have more than 750 bases located in many countries all over the world. We use those bases to overthrow governments all over the world all the time. If I remember correctly. the United States has a military base in Cuba as well.
The Bible says “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. .
I have a great idea. Why doesn’t every country on this planet remove all foreign bases in their country. That would go a long way in reducing tension in the world. What would the United States do, if they closed all those bases and bring hundreds of thousands of troops home? We probably could reduce the military budget by at least 100 billion dollars or more.
