TikTok has lost in two out of the three branches of the federal government. Congress and the former Trump administration gave the Chinese Communist infowar company a choice between selling its American business or leaving. Since then, TikTok launched an elaborate lobbying and bribery campaign.
It took its case to the Supreme Court where it lost decisively.
Despite that, Biden said he won’t enforce the TikTok ban. Trump is currently opposed. Hopefully with a view to forcing a sale rather than leaving an enemy nation company with a death grip on America’s kids.
TikTok is a major income stream for a whole lot of influencers, including some who target the right, and a bunch of them, including Candace Owens, appear to have joined RedNote or Little Red Book, as in Mao’s Little Red Book, to protest America ‘censoring’ TikTok.
Some of the influencers newly on RedNote have taken to praising Communist China and denouncing America.
The only thing this does is demonstrate why Chinese Communist tech and apps have no place in America.
Thanks for the info Daniel !!! I know nothing about Tik Tok, so your articles are very enlightening.
I have noticed some independent media and some influencers praising China recently. Just because it has become obvious that the U.S. government, it’s institutions, and the institutions of the “rules based international order” are extremely corrupt and tyrannical it doesn’t mean that the Chinese CCP are the good guys. Are they gullible and stupid or getting paid? I’m sure the algorithms on those apps favor praise of CCP. That’s a huge new market.
Tiktok is just more spying on America like with that Balloon and Mouse-E-Dung was far worse then Hitler ever was
Our ignorant citizenry, and our corrupt gov’t leaders, need a refresher course on how evil, and how malevolent, and how menacing, our enemy China is. For most of my 70 years, aiding America’s mortal enemy was considered treachery. Greed and the lust for business success has displaced the vital interests of the USA. Major corporations have been so ‘in bed’ with China for decades that treachery is part of their business model.
I am very disappointed that Trump seems to be siding with the CCP and business interests over the welfare of the USA.
Out of the frying pan and into the fire, smh.
