Cuomo didn’t do anything to nursing home patients that multiple Dem governors, including in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, didn’t do. So the odds of him facing any kind of consequences for thousands of deaths were non-existent.
Democrats avoided that red line by focusing on whether Cuomo misled about the number of nursing home deaths. But if there’s any time and place where the crime is worse than the cover-up, this would be it.
But Cuomo, who knew how to make everyone complicit, gets away with it.
Prosecutors in Manhattan have concluded former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo did not break the law when his administration misled the public about the number of Covid-19 deaths tied to nursing homes, the Democrat’s former attorney said on Monday.
Elkan Abramowitz, who served as outside counsel to Cuomo’s office, said in a statement that the former governor was told Monday by the head of the Manhattan district attorney’s Elder Abuse Unit that the office had completed a “thorough investigation“ and would not bring charges.
A “thorough investigation“. I’m sure.
These are the same folks who have spent 4 years trying to find any possible charges to bring against Trump, not to mention the NRA, and any conservative groups or political figures, but can’t figure out a thing to charge Cuomo with after humming nonchalantly for a few months.
All the other charges are also quickly disappearing now that their core purpose, getting Cuomo out of office, has been accomplished.
Albany County District Attorney David Soares is expected to drop criminal charges of forcible touching against disgraced ex-Gov. Andrew Cuomo days before he was to be arraigned, according to reports.
Days before.
I can’t imagine why anyone wouldn’t trust this rotten system. Must be all the misinformation.
