You can always count on AIPAC. To market itself to potential donors. At least until there’s blowback.
After running Facebook ads critical of “radicals” among the Democrats, especially Rep. Omar and Rep. Tlaib, anti-Israel activists zeroed in on the ads.
Most notably, Eli Clfton of the Soros-Koch “Quincy Institute”. And AIPAC, bizarrely, replied to Clifton’s tweet with an “unequivocal apology” to the majority of Democrats for what the lobby described as a “poorly worded ad”.
The AIPAC ads were pretty clear that they were pitching the group as a counterweight to Omar and Tlaib. Considering their opposition to Israel, what about that required an apology?
And even if AIPAC felt the need to apologize, why do it in reply to Eli Clifton, a veteran anti-Israel figure from the Center for American Progress era, now being funded by Soros?
All this is a reminder of how useless AIPAC is.
