Qatar’s Islamist influence operation, Al Jazeera, speaks with forked tongue. In Arabic, it promotes Islamic narratives, but in English, it pushes wokeness.
There’s a whole LGBTQ category on Al Jazeera, but no actual room for it in Qatar.
Qatari officials have stopped a protest staged by British LGBT rights campaigner Peter Tatchell.
Mr Tatchell said he was “arrested and detained on the kerbside” in Doha on Tuesday following his one-man protest challenging the country’s treatment of LGBT people ahead of the World Cup.
He said he was later released and is now heading back to the UK.
The Qatari government said authorities asked someone to move but claims of an arrest were “completely false”.
Qatar is an Islamist tyranny. It however enjoys a great deal of influence in leftist circles. Al Jazeera, its media outlet, sets the tone for coverage of the region and any issues Qatar cares about.
The Khashoggi operation made the Qatari agent into an international figure and, somehow, an American one whom we never stop hearing about.
Accompanying all of this is the attitude that Qatar is somehow progressive. Like all Islamists, it plays at it and any other role to destroy its enemies. Much as some Islamists are now playing up to conservatives in America.
There’s room for LGBTQ agitprop on Al Jazeera to undermine America, but none in Qatar.
They are entirely biased for Pallys and against Israel, I noticed in one of their articles I read yesterday.
They just take gays while their kissing to the tops of tall buildings and throw them all off the top so that they go splat and the UN Human Rights phonies don’t say a thing
