Alice Walker, who believes that the planet is overrun by reptilian space aliens, (some of whom may be Jews), really doesn’t like Jews. Or her own daughter. But she does like Hamas.
Iran still takes the top spot and Alice Walker has to settle for sharing the 9th spot with Max Blumenthal; Clinton aide Sidney Blumenthal’s crazy racist son.
Once a major writer, these days Alice Walker can’t even score the top spot in anti-semitism.
The Pulitzer prize-winning novelist Alice Walker was co-listed as ninth for her latest book, Pin in the Cushion, which the Center described as “a diatribe against the Jewish state. Walker depicts Hamas-ruled Gaza as a benign place,” and compares Israelis to the Nazis.
As always, it’s not entirely clear whether Alice Walker hates Jews because she hates her ex-husband or whether her bigotry is a bit more normal.
Walker, the ADL statement went on, “suggests that Israeli settlements are motivated by the concept that ‘possession is nine-tenths of the law,’ which she claims is a lesson she ‘learned from my Jewish lawyer former husband.’”
A meeting she describes with an elderly Palestinian woman in the territories is telling about the impetus behind Walker’s hostile attitude towards Jews and Israelis. The woman, upon accepting a gift from Walker, says “May God protect you from the Jews” to which Walker responds, “It’s too late, I already married one.”
That quote comes from Walker’s Cushion in the Road and it’s as blatant as bigotry gets. It also shows how Alice Walker conflates her hatred for her ex with hatred for the Jewish people as a whole.
