There are different signs of the Overton Window on genocidal antisemitism sliding open. But CAIR’s leaders openly celebrating Oct 7 and justifying antisemitism while retaining their influence is one sign.
After a public school was vandalized, the usual statements deploring it were issued. Or almost.
The Montgomery County Police Department is investigating acts of antisemitic vandalism at a Montgomery County public school.
MCPD said unknown suspects spray painted anti-Semitic phrases over the parking lot area of the school and a nearby building in the 4900 block of Del Ray Avenue.
“What happened here this morning is not a reflection of the best of Montgomery County’s values,” said Guila Frankin Siegel, the COO of the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Washington. “When I first saw the language and I realized that it was at an elementary school, I was horrified.”
Then Siegel had to idiotically throw in something about “Islamophobia.”
“There is no place in our community for any kind of hatred, whether it’s anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, any kind of hatred,” said Siegel.
The representatives of Islam at CAIR also had something to say.
“The graffiti is an unfortunate symptom of the growing frustration with the Israeli government’s ongoing 310+ day long brutal genocide in Gaza. We support efforts to clean up the vandalism, but the stains etched on the chapters of our nation’s history by the Biden administration’s funding of the Israeli government’s indiscriminate bombing,” CAIR’s Maryland Director Zainab Chaudry ranted.
And the rest is Hamas propaganda.
The split screen here is the Jewish representative of the local JCRC adding in “Islamophobia” to show how tolerant she is, while the representative of CAIR doesn’t even condemn the graffiti but blames it on the Jews for fighting Hamas, and uses the opportunity to embed her ‘stop bombing Hamas’ rant.
The liberal Jewish side keeps trying to be tolerant and show sympathy for the other side, while the Islamic side is in full non-stop attack mode all the time.
There’s a lesson to be learned here, but I suspect the local JCRC won’t be learning it.
American liberal Jews still don’t understand Islam. To understand Islam, understand 9/11 and Oct 7. All else is commentary.

What is it going to take for them to come to their senses? Their minds seem impervious to facts or reason.

Daniel living in Israel in the 70’s, 80’s in the Western Galilee. Most of my friends were Israeli Arabs , Christian, Druze and Muslim. I was a Service Manger for a garage that repaired tractors, trucks and cars. A good friend from the village in Nahariyya daughter was raped in his town. I went to consul my friend asked where his 2 older sons were, told taking care of business. I knew exactly what he meant sadly they took their sister to a near-by garbage dump and killed her. Screaming at him I asked why your daughter didn’t ask for it now you lost not only your daughter but both sons will be in jail for a long time. His answer was I am Western and will never understand family. Which to this day I think what could I have done to stop it all and try to understand of which I still can’t 40 years later.

You described it.
It’s an honor-shame culture. There’s little in the way of mercy and despite the borrowed trappings of Judeo-Christian stories, ideas and rules, no actual morality.
Force is all that matters. Either you are strong and have honor or you are weak and shamed.
This is what they do to their own daughters. Imagine what they can do to us.

A relative married a young woman from a Pakistani family that moved here to the US. She told him that her brother and sister once held her down while her mother burned her with hot spoons because she had an American boyfriend at that time.

Daniel I still have nightmares from some of things I saw what they can do to others, Almost 40 days in the IDF in the war of 82 in Lebanon what they did to Christian’s and the world stood by and didn’t care. My good friend is a surgeon in Nahriaya hospital who operated on many Syrian’s from their war that were transported to Israel for treatment which I will never understand why but he told me, he treated Israeli soldiers in the Yom Kippur war and in 82 but the wounds that the Syrian’s had he had never had seen to treat.

Remember how Isis burned the Syrian pilot in the cage? May he rest in peace.

Guila Frankin Siegel’s statement displays shame. It is the shame of a ghetto mentality that cannot ask for justice for Jews without apologizing for asking and retreating from seeming to ask for something special. In this case, it goes beyond trying to just be part of the general community of rights, but is a denial of blaming others and instead supporting the usual suspects. This is the type of thing illustrated by the story of two Jews in a Nazi death camp who were facing a firing squad, They were asked if they had any last words. One, raised his hand and wanted to reply. The other elbowed him and said, “Don’t make trouble.”

My favorite atheist Bertrand Russell once said that ideology is the modern word for religion. While I believe he was wrong about atheism, he was right about ideology. Unfortunately, leftist Jews, leftist Catholics, leftist Buddhists, etc. care more about their leftist ideology than they do about their faith. In essence, they have TWO faiths and ideology usually is the dominant one.
No wonder they don’t see the danger in Islam.

My father recently died at 101 and he was even more far left at that point than previously. 😪

Their delusional view of Islam is hard-wired into their brains. For example, not understanding that Muslims have no concept of gratitude. That seems to be very difficult for people in the West to understand, where gratitude is such a fundamental part of the culture.

I don’t even think there’s an Arabic word equivalent to “gratitude.” Didn’t Burton write about that?
