Jews are feeling increasingly afraid and unwelcome. Last week, girls on the basketball team of a Jewish private school in suburban Hartsdale, New York, were jabbed and hit with antisemitic slurs by players from Yonkers’ Roosevelt High School. “I support Hamas, you f—-ing Jew,” a Roosevelt player snarled. The game had to be called off in the third quarter, and the Jewish girls needed school security to help them leave.
Antisemitic incidents were already on the rise in 2021 and 2022. Now they are up nearly 400% year over year since the Oct. 7 Hamas attack against Israel, according to the Anti-Defamation League.
ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt explains, “I am not talking about, you know, stores producing IDF T-shirts. I’m talking about a coffee shop on Long Island, an ice cream parlor in the Bay Area, a restaurant in Chicago.” It reminds him of his grandparents’ barbershop, which was vandalized by the Nazis in Germany. “I can’t believe this is happening in our country today.”
Believe it.
The mainstream media choose to downplay it and the Democratic Party is, at best, divided. Antisemitism has often come from the Right, but it appears now to be coming from the Left.
When the presidents of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, and the University of Pennsylvania caused outrage by saying at a congressional hearing in December that calls for Jewish genocide don’t necessarily violate campus policy — “it depends on the context” — Democrats’ reactions were mixed.
Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) had no problem with moral clarity. “There is no ‘both sides-ism’ and it isn’t ‘free speech,’ it’s simply hate speech,” Fetterman said. It should be “reflexive” to “condemn antisemitism.”
But former President Barack Obama, the titular head of the party, had a different response. He reached out to Harvard and made a behind-the-scenes effort to save President Claudine Gay’s job.
On Dec. 13, the House of Representatives voted on a resolution to condemn antisemitism on campuses and demand the resignations of the presidents of Harvard and MIT for tolerating it. Democrats split, with 84 supporting the resolution and 125 opposing. Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) called it a “gross overreach” to tell colleges whom they should hire.
Sorry. If the discrimination had been against black students, the vote would have been unanimous, and Democrats would have clamored to pull federal funding from the colleges. But Jewish students can pound salt.
Jewish hostages, too. The public’s indifference to the eight American Jews captive in Gaza, the media’s silence and President Joe Biden’s tepid efforts to get them released, are telling.
Recall that during Jimmy Carter’s presidency, 52 American diplomats and citizens were taken hostage at the U.S. Embassy in Tehran, and endured 444 days of captivity.
During that ordeal, Americans tied yellow ribbons around trees and Walter Cronkite announced on the nightly CBS news how many days the hostages had been captive. Carter’s failure to get them out contributed to his landslide loss to Ronald Reagan in 1980.
That’s unlikely to be a factor this November because this time, so few Americans care.
Granted, there are only eight hostages, and they were not serving the U.S. in an official capacity when they were taken. Even so, the silence is troubling.
In 2014, First Lady Michelle Obama made it a cause celebre when 200 Nigerian school girls were abducted. They weren’t Americans, but she said, “In these girls, Barack and I see our own daughters.”
Prominent Democrats today are not holding signs saying “Bring Back Our Hostages.” Families of the American hostages released an ongoing TV ad on Jan. 7 to fill the void and build awareness.
Over the centuries, hatred of Jews has come from many directions. The latest wave appears linked to progressive opposition to Israel’s treatment of Palestinians, according to a study done by Arie Perliger, director of security studies at the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. All Jews must bear the guilt, the thinking goes.
By failing to condemn antisemitism, politicians, academics and their media allies are doing our enemies’ bidding. One week ago, ISIS released a 67-minute diatribe calling for the destruction of Jews worldwide to avenge Israeli strikes against Gaza. The message was “kill them wherever you find them.”
Meanwhile, Jewish families privately talk at the dinner table about Anne Frank, hiding in attics, and where this new wave of antisemitism could lead.
It’s time for all Americans to denounce it.

Our campuses need taken back from the leftists scum suckers

Red state governors and legislators need to take back their schools and universities. The blue states can continue doing whatever nonsense pleases them as long as red-state taxpayers don’t have to bail them out.

What I see is near unanimity on the right: Destroy Gaza. Some few believe in the alleged “oppression” of the Palestinians, but that is not a popular point of view among conservatives. The left has spent years creating just this situation and no one should be surprised. Politicians, academics and their media allies are not just doing our enemies’ bidding, they are our enemies. Like their anti-white crusade, this is all part of their destruction of our civilization. I am not sure it is driven by antisemitism as much as by an agenda to reshape the world. I fear that part of reshaping the world involves Islamizing it. Now more than ever we must not let them divide us as Americans.

The democrat party is led by soulless, egotists. They want problems. They fear solutions. There aren’t many real problems left to fix so they have to continuously manufacture new (bogus) problems. Problems are essential to their longevity. They will create problems and constituents (to rail against those problems) out of thin air. As long as one-third or more of voters remain misinformed by leftists and their institutions, nourished on a diet of hate and lies and invigorated by faux struggles America will suffer and America’s future… (fill in the blank).

It’s driven by anti-Semitism all right. Have you seen video of NYPD arresting lone Jewish protester with photos of the hostages held in Hamas terror tunnels? – Looked like something from a movie about the Nazis.
So, walk in the shoes of any Jewish person for 30 seconds. Extreme double standards, blatant lies, fear of bodily harm. And the unmistakeable awareness that no other American citizen objects and in fact they enjoy inflicting harm and receive no repercussions. . Americans have emotions for the latest Tik Tok joke but complete apathy or disdain for Jews who live in the United States or in the world. Just as in Germany in the last century, we are unwelcome and unprotected. America is therefore immoral and a fallen nation, reflecting the corruption of each and every person in it.
For there is no outcry and in fact your denial of anti-Semitism is just another example of that cold heartedness.

I read, possibly on this site, a letter from a rabbi, no less, demanding that Israel “Dresden” Gaza.. I .e. wreck the so-called ‘state’ so completely that only a memory would be left. OK – I’m quite pro Israel, especially since I married a Jewish girl. But even I think that a total flattening would be somewhat over the top! (Consider the costs that would be dumped upon the West for reconstruction!) But Hamas HAVE to be shown that attacks on Israel have associated costs – maybe if the IDF do it often enough, it’ll sink through the thick skulls! (Mind you, it hasn’t so far!)
MLK says
Really? There is no unanimity that I see. America should not get involved. Conservatives do not want another mid east war that is not our problem. I don’t want my sons and my neighbors white American kids being sent to die for some other middle eastern nation, yet AGAIN. We area already funding this garbage to the tune of hundreds of billions. Meanwhile we are being invaded ourselves, and the people you are defending are laughing about it and telling you to get bent. How about we take our tax money and our soldiers and put them on the southern border and send over all the people claiming we should sacrifice our sons to slaughter, to go fight their own battles?
“We must not let them divide us”? We have already been divided… The people who push these insane policies in universities and lead these ngo institutions that trafficking people across the border are the same people trying to keep immigrants, and Islam out of their country. Just like the typical American boomer.. shoot yourself in the foot so you don’t hurt the attacker that is killing you.

ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt has for years run the ADL as an extension of the Progressives Democrat Party. Whatever their positions, he was on board. Now the Progressives have turned on Jews.
There’s a lesson in that. I haven’t seen any sign he’s figured out what it is.

“In 2014, First Lady Michelle Obama made it a cause celebre when 200 Nigerian school girls were abducted. They weren’t Americans, but she said, ‘In these girls, Barack and I see our own daughters.'”
That incident says it all about Leftist identity politics and hypocrisy. First of all, the Boko Haram (the ISLAMIC group that kidnapped the girls because educating them was “UnIslamic”) didn’t just leave their brothers alone to pursue their educations. It locked them in school and set fire to it. Michelle Obama never protested that atrocity.
For all their intellectual pretensions, most Leftists are quite simple minded (look at Auntie Maxine Waters, Dementia Joe, Claudine Gay or Alexndria Ocasio Cortez). They think calling antisemitism “Anti-Zionism” gives them a pass. If they think of Israeli Jews murdered, raped and taken hostage on October 7th at all (which was hardly the first act of antisemitic violence by “Palestinians”) they see instead Jews they have some ax to grind against, Susan Sarandon and Vanessa Redgrave probably see some Jewish director or producer they hated, leftist academics probably see a neoconservative
intellectual they hate, and the spoiled brats who disrupt traffic, jeer patients at a cancer hospital and chase Jews off of campuses (with little or no pushback from administrations) see Jews as too successful and too “white” to merit any sympathy. They no doubt are ignorant of the fact that half the Jews in Israel are Mizrahi Jews from the Middle East and North Africa, or that these were included amongst the victims of October 7th along with Ethiopian Jews, Holocaust survivors and of course rape victims.

I have a hard time listening to the “I can’t believe this is happening” from a leader of the ADL, when I’ve watched that organization excuse or outright ignore openly anti-semetic comments from the left but at the same time quickly jump on every anti-semetic “dog whistle” from the right. We’ve been pointing this out to them for years, and even now with it right in their faces, they ignore exactly where its coming from.
I can’t be the only one to find it disheartening and disillusioning….

Can’t believe this is happening? … Makes one wonder.
What did he think he was creating by attacking everything not-Demokkkrat, not-Left, or not-woke? …
What does he think a poor white trash free Amerikkka looks like?
What does he think will happen when his paymasters decide he’s no longer useful?
What will he do when he finds out most Americans still willing to help him … are already on a watchlist for domestic terrorism?
Makes one wonder indeed …
