Cuomo’s actions as governor contributed to the deaths of thousands of nursing home patients and he launched an entire illegal discrimination campaign blaming Orthodox Jews for the pandemic. But beyond his inappropriate behavior, Dems have been obsessed with the advance from his book deal. 

Now they’re trying to claw some $5 million back from Cuomo.

What’s the obsession with Cuomo’s cash? The Dems aren’t worried about the ethics of it or the fortunes of the publishing giant involved. They’re worried that Cuomo, a guy who is about as forgiving as a pirhana, intends to use what money and influence has to go after those Dems who betrayed him, and maybe even get himself back into the governorship.

Cuomo’s already got a sizable war chest, but those book deal millions gave him a fortune to play with that had even less restrictions on it than even his campaign cash.

Going after the money is about trying to limit the damage that the wrathful ex-governor can do to them. 

It’s about money and power. That’s what it’s always about.
