No Senate Democrat (or whatever Bernie pretends to be between presidential elections) has been a bigger Communist shill.
Bernie Sanders took his honeymoon in the USSR and even recently insisted on defending Communist Cuba during the latest campaign, arguing, “When Fidel Castro came into office, you know what he did? He had a massive literacy program.”
But Bernie’s had a long history of choosing Communism over America.
“I remember, for some reason or another, being very excited when Fidel Castro made the revolution in Cuba,” he said, while speaking at the University of Vermont in 1986. “I was a kid … and it just seemed right and appropriate that poor people were rising up against rather ugly rich people.”
During that speech, Sanders said he almost had to “puke” when he saw former President John F. Kennedy push his opponent at the time, former President Richard Nixon, to be tougher on Cuba. “For the first time in my adult life, what I was seeing is the Democrats and Republicans … clearly that there really wasn’t a whole lot of difference between the two,” he said.
And that’s how Bernie became a Communist. Or as he insists on calling himself, a “Democratic Socialist”.
After Bernie Sanders visited the Marxist Sandanista regime in Nicaragua on a propaganda tour, he argued that the bread lines in major cities were a good thing. “American journalists talk about how bad a country is, that people are lining up for food. That is a good thing!”
The bread lines had been caused by the radical regime’s socialist agricultural policies of land seizures from farmers. Those farmers who refused to be drawn into Soviet-style communal farms rebelled, along with Indian and Creole racial minorities, and became the core of the Contras, the heroic resistance fighters whose mass murders at the hands of Sandinista terrorists were cheered by American leftists.
So it’s no shocker that Bernie’s going to bat for Communist China.
“Don’t Start Another Cold War,” Bernie pleads. The familiar disingenuous rhetoric ignores the fact Communist China, like the USSR, began the Cold War. We have various choices, but a mutually friendly relationship isn’t one of them. Just as we didn’t have that choice with the USSR.
“The unprecedented global challenges that the United States faces today—climate change, pandemics, nuclear proliferation, massive economic inequality, terrorism, corruption, authoritarianism—are shared global challenges. They cannot be solved by any one country acting alone. They require increased international cooperation—including with China, the most populous country on earth,” the Communist shill writes.
Bernie never quite explains how we share the challenge of “authoritarianism” with Communist China. Never mind the pandemic it created.
The Socialist senator goes on to falsely and without evidence claim that, “It is no surprise that today, in a climate of relentless fearmongering about China, the country is experiencing an increase in anti-Asian hate crimes.”
It’s no surprise that refusing to arrest and prosecute criminals, while defunding the police, the agenda of his own crowd, attacks against Asian-Americans by mostly black males in urban areas has increased for reasons having nothing to do with President Trump’s condemnation of China.
“Creating true security and prosperity for working people in the United States and China alike demands building a more equitable global system that prioritizes human needs over corporate greed and militarism,” Bernie argues.
China had its Communist revolution. Bernie wants one in America.
“Developing a mutually beneficial relationship with China will not be easy. But we can do better than a new Cold War” Bernie concludes.
Fortunately, a lot of Democrat politicians seem to have already developed “a mutually beneficial relationship with China.”
