The drama of the 1% socialist tax returns appears to be coming to an end.
But not without Bernie having to make an uncomfortable admission.
“Not being a billionaire, not having investments in Saudi Arabia, wherever he has investments, all over the world, mine will be a little bit more boring,” Mr. Sanders said.
Reminded that he is a millionaire, he did not shirk from the description.
“I wrote a best-selling book,” he declared. “If you write a best-selling book, you can be a millionaire, too.”
…if you too.
It’s the American Dream. Anyone can write a socialist tract and become a millionaire.
Meanwhile the people who become billionaires must have done something wrong. Like make investments.
I like how Bernie starts pretending that the sources of his wealth are democratic. In reality, Bernie quite possibly did not write his book. The only reason said book was a bestseller was his political fanbase, not his original insights.
“You too can become a socialist star and then put your name on a book and have it make lots of money. Anyone can do it. Those who can’t, can wait on breadlines.”
