After California and Texas, New York and Florida are some of the big upcoming contests. What are Bernie’s chances there? Not so good.
Sanders was at 16% in Florida. There’s yet to be a more recent New York poll, but Sanders has fairly badly alienated Jewish voters there. That’s likely to cost him in New York and Florida.
50% of Jewish people in New York rate Trump positively. Meanwhile 61% rate Sanders negatively.
Only 6% of Jews would vote for Bernie Sanders on Super Tuesday.
And there were few kind words for him at AIPAC.
“To associate pro-Israel advocacy with bigotry, [Sanders] is advancing anti-Semitism,” said Robin Hanerfeld of Bethesda, Md. “He’s emboldening anti-Semites to start using the word to describe us.”
Anne Brody Elovic, 58, a homemaker from the heavily Jewish village of Skokie, Ill., said “Bernie Sanders is a putz. If you want to run this country, have the chutzpah to come stand here and tell us what you think.”
Fact check. Accurate.
