Somewhere Senator Kamala Harris is rethinking the wisdom of tying her health care policy to this falling socialist star. But too late.

Senator Bernie Sanders has never cared about mere math. Money is just something you get more of when you raise taxes. And people who aren’t him don’t need spending money anyway. They’re probably just going to waste it on deodorant.

And if they run out of money, there are breadlines.

Bernie likes breadlines.

And, it turns out the problem with his plan for taking away everyone’s health care and replacing it with Medicaid aka “Destroy Medicare for All”, much as with previous attempts in Vermont and California, is that you run out of money.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) said on Tuesday that he estimates his Medicare for All plan would cost up to $40 trillion over 10 years.

“Somewhere between $30 and $40 trillion over a 10 year period,” Sanders said.

Sanders has previously said he would raise taxes, including for the middle class, that people would be happy to pay more taxes under his healthcare plan, and that “there will be pain” in a transition to a single-payer system.

You can’t make some omelets without breaking a lot of eggs, as another famous Stalinist socialist once said.

At $4 trillion a year, that’s our entire budget. But we’ll just tax the middle class at a rate of 90%.
