With over 2 million and counting, the Biden administration is frantically trying to spin the border crisis. And, in typical fashion, that involves yammering about root causes, sending out Kamala to yammer about root causes and then claiming that the problem was solved now.

Unfortunately some folks out there are still doing their job and covering it. Lead among them, Bill Melugin at FOX News.

“One administration official who used to work on immigration issues told West Wing Playbook that the Biden team has complained about the lack of nuance in the network’s coverage of the topic, which focuses more on the number of migrants rather than explaining the root causes of the situation.”

This is what happens when you drink your own Kool-Aid.

Root causes? Yes, we’ve gotten to the point where the dumber sort of liberal will respond to being mugged or stepping in human waste by blaming “root causes”, delivering a media spiel about income inequality, climate change and the full moon. Adults know that this amateur sociology doesn’t change reality. The media might decide to respond to the big 2 million by coughing up some root causes hairballs, but why would they expect FOX News to do it.

Even if FOX News were minded to do Biden a favor, no one is going to fall for root causes.

Or rather the only root cause here is that Biden is keeping the border open to demographically transform America.

Anyone who failed to report the number doesn’t belong in journalism. But it’s also important to report the ideological root cause that is real, not the fake social root causes that aren’t.
