Islamic groups had been demanding a special census category for a while and now they’re getting one.
The Biden administration signed off on “Middle Eastern or North African” checkbox on the next census. While in theory the checkbox applies to non-Muslims (including me, as I was born in Israel), it’s meant to be a category that Muslims will claim to represent.
Much like the term “Asian” in the UK came to be co-opted by Islamic groups, Muslim organizations will claim to represent and speak for those in the MENA category, amplifying their power and influence.
We at the Freedom Center have been warning about the MENA category for some time.

The White House is frank about how altering the census would make this happen: impacting how the Voting Rights Act is enforced and Congressional districts are drawn; creating affirmative action plans and monitoring discrimination in housing, bank lending, and education; and identifying new recipients of government largess. That is, targeting those who would be inclined to vote Democrat once they are the beneficiaries of more government patronage. In addition, since most of these people identify as “white” on the current census, giving them a different option would support the Democrats’ narrative of a demographic shift that is reducing whites to a minority, and that will create The Coming Democrat Majority, as John Judis and Ruy Teixera called it in their 2004 book.

In late September, the White House office of Management and Budget proposed a new racial classification: MENA, standing for Middle East and North Africans and covering the vast area from Morocco to Iran. In the best politically correct style, many national, ethnic and racial identities disappear within the group category, like drops of water in a pond. MENA is essentially the rebadging of Muslims and as with other categories the basis for handing out government benefits and further dividing the nation into oppressed and oppressor classes.
The president was counting on his designated successor, Hillary Clinton, to get MENA approved by Congress in 2018 so it could be deployed in the 2020 Census. The new Congress should give MENA the boot, dump the entire classification system, and abolish race and ethnic preferences in government employment.
A Republican administration should jettison the MENA category because it’s an Islamic trojan horse. The census needs major reform, beginning with the return of the ‘citizenship’ question, and should end identity politics questions in general.
A country of equals, people not races or creeds, shouldn’t be asking people what race or ethnicity they are anyway.
And next up, the census will be pursuing sexual identity politics.
The U.S. Census Bureau asked the Biden administration Tuesday for permission to test questions about sexual orientation and gender identity for people age 15 and above on its most comprehensive annual survey of life in the country.
Over 15. Enough said.
These census abuses are used purely to advance leftist politics and divide the country while allowing the Left to expand its victimhood groups and define the country on its terms.
If Trump overcomes vote cheating and vote fraud, he’ll definitely clean up the census. I’m surprised he didn’t do it while was President first so that the 2020 census could’ve been saved from the corruption foisted on it by Bareback. He’ll also overturn all of the Executive Orders Alzheimer Joe’s handlers had him sign, most of them int his first two days in office, which proves he didn’t know what he was signing and didn’t care.
And of course, every are too corrupt and STUPID to know the difference between the near east and middle east.
A census count of Muslims will be used with the Voting Rights Act to create Muslim majority districts for local, state, and federal elections of Muslims.
Yes and even if Trump overcomes vote cheating and illegal changes to voter rules and laws, the next census isn’t until 2030, so any revisions he makes to it can be undone by the next President. This submission to islam and tranny tyranny insanity is bound to get worse before it gets better.

At least we could get a ONE TIME COUNT of the % of muslims! It’s been PROVEN in Nation after Nation that once the muslim population reaches a certain point that those Nations experience internal division and violence! PRESIDENT TRUMP was correct to ask that the CENSUS ID CITIZENS vs ILLEGALS but we know the “court” stopped that – WHY??? We should allocate LEGALLY ELECTED REPS based on LEGALLY PRESENT CITIZENS! Why is that so hard to understand? Oh yeah, the LEFT is losing the LEGAL VOTES!!
A strong and moral President would go Andy Jackson on the Court and tell them to try and enforce their ILLEGAL order.
The census wasn’t designed to count people, it was designed to count citizens. Illegal aliens aren’t even supposed to be here and I pray to God Trump overcomes the Dirtbagocrat cheat machine and deports them en masse, as he’s promised to do if elected.

OMG! One more way President Biden can destroy the nation he swore to protect.
I am pretty old. When I was young, in school in the 1950’s, the image of immigrants in America was a “melting pot.” Somewhere along the line, that changed. The image of melting pot is long gone. It has been replaced with “mosaic” or more recently, “tossed salad.”
The point of melting pot was that you would cease to be what you were, your Irishness or Polishness (I grew up in Chicago) would melt and become part of a newer, better alloy — American –that included what was best of those elements and was an improvement over pure Irish or pure Polish. Bronze is neither copper nor tin, but is both, together, each contributing, each making the combination better in many ways.
Mosaic tiles and salad components, by contrast, get to retain their individuality. Just because you’re in a salad, you don’t stop being a radish, so the cucumber can still pick you out and make you check a different box on your census form. Someone running for office can convince all the shredded cabbage to hate all the carrots. Iceberg lettuce can be made to apologize for oppressing the bean sprouts. The change from melting pot to salad bowl is not an accident. Those who sought power by appealing to tribal instincts didn’t want their tribes to be assimilated by a melting pot. What is in a melting pot is together, what is in a salad bowl is merely among.
I would very much like to get everyone, but especially our government. out of this ethnic background business. To that end, in advance of the 2020 census, I urged every person to answer the ethnicity questions in the most extravagant way possible, to include any subgroup that they could based on any scrap of evidence they could get their hands on, or based on no evidence at all, just Elizabeth Warren style family stories or their “feelings.” You know, like the feelings that apparently possess so many folks who spend a lot of time talking about pronouns. I was hoping if enough people did so, North Dakota could become the first majority African American state.
Seriously, the next time you have a chance, pick any ethnicity or combination you wish, as long as it is different from the one you picked the last time. Just keep doing it until they stop asking. If enough folks do this, in just a few years, statistical analyses based on these counts will have error bars as big as barn doors and become useless, utterly unreliable and contradictory. The nonsense will stop, having been exposed for what it is.
