In response to the McCaul report from the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Biden regime trotted out partisan hack Adrienne Watson from the NSC to launch an unhinged barrage of lies thinly disguised as a memo.

The Biden NSC take, which could have been written by the Iraqi Information Minister, claims that Al Qaeda isn’t reconstituted in Afghanistan, after just doing a victory lap for taking out its leader, and then insists that it was completely prepared for a rapid Taliban takeover.

Claim: The Biden administration was not prepared for the speed of the Taliban retaking Kabul and an evacuation.

Reality: Former President Trump’s 2020 agreement with the Taliban:  Agreed to withdraw all troops from Afghanistan by May 1 2021, without conditions  Released 5,000 Taliban fighters from prison  Invited the Taliban to Camp David

Look, a squirrel! 

While Trump’s agreement with the Taliban was bad, Biden’s withdrawal was absolutely terrible. The claim and reality are disconnected. Biden did what he had proposed doing all along before Trump was even elected. Blaming Trump for it is pathetic even for this incredibly pathetic administration which takes responsibility for none of its disasters.

Secretary of State Blinken, along with other administration members, have come out and said that they were not prepared and were not expecting a rabid Taliban takeover. The entire thing has been more than amply reported.

The key criticism all along has been that Biden failed to pull civilians out before the military. Period.

Watson isn’t just denying the contents of the GOP report, she’s spreading ridiculous lies and spin about facts that the media long ago reported on, including the lack of prep for SIV evacuations.

And yet the fact checkers will never touch her or this administration of liars.
