How do you make apartheid sound good? Easy. Just call it the “historic status quo”.
Under Muslim rule, the historic status quo by the invaders was to ban Jews from their own holiest site, the Temple Mount. When Jerusalem was liberated, there was a vocal insistence by the Muslims who had launched a war to destroy the Jewish State and by the “international community” that Jews continue to be barred from their own holy site in the name of the “historic status quo”. And if that sounds too unbelievable, here’s Ned Price, Biden’s State Department spokesman saying that Jews must continue to be banned.
So let me say broadly on the first question that the United States stands firmly for preservation of the historic status quo with respect to the holy sites in Jerusalem. We oppose any unilateral actions that undercut the historic status quo. They are unacceptable. The President has previously underscored the need to preserve that historic status quo at the Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount, as has the Secretary. We have done so repeatedly with our Israeli partners; we have done so repeatedly with our Jordanian partners, whose special role as custodian of Muslim holy places in Jerusalem we deeply appreciate. That is a message we will continue to reinforce.
Historic status quo sounds much better than apartheid, doesn’t it?
Jews visiting the Temple Mount is “unacceptable” to the Biden administration.
Ned Price then goes on to defend the Muslim terrorist heckler’s veto and to blame Israel for provoking the violence by… visiting a Jewish holy site.
“As I said before regarding this visit, we’re deeply concerned by any unilateral actions that have the potential to exacerbate tensions, precisely because we want to see the opposite happen. We want to see tensions reduced; we want to see tensions diminished. The – we know that the exceedingly rare instances of previous high-profile visits to Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount have only exacerbated tensions. This is not an academic question. We have seen what has transpired in the past, and we continue, as I said before, to strongly support the longstanding, historic status quo at the site.”
The “longstanding, historic status quo” was the product of conquest, oppression, slavery and mass murder.
What would the “historic status quo” of non-Muslims in the Middle East be in general? Or black people in the West?
“By the way, we also know and we took note of the fact that Prime Minister Netanyahu’s governing platform calls for preservation of the historic status quo with relation to the holy places. We expect him to follow through on that commitment. The Secretary has said very clearly before that it’s absolutely critical that all sides exercise restraint, refrain from provocative actions and rhetoric, and preserve that historic status quo at Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount, both in word and in practice. That’s what we’ll be watching for; that’s what we’ll be using our words to encourage.”
That’s the State Department spokesman demanding that Jews be banned from their holy site because their visits are “provocative”.
Muslim violence is not provocative.
This obscene show somehow gets worse with a question from an Islamist propagandist.
QUESTION: Ned, just let me remind you – and if you’ll allow me a couple more questions on the Palestinian issue. If I may remind you, back in 2000 – September 2000, September 28th, as a matter of fact, 2000 – Ariel Sharon stormed Haram Sharif and launched one of the most violent episodes in Palestinian-Israeli history that went on for a very, very long time. We see the same thing happening again. I mean, Mr. Sharon went on to become prime minister at the time. Ben-Gvir may become the next prime minister.
You said you are going to judge these people by their actions. I think you said that, the Secretary of State said that, everybody said that in government. So that is the action. This is the action. How are you going to deal with this government?
MR PRICE: Well first, Said, Prime Minister Netanyahu has said repeatedly that he is setting the policy of this government. We will be dealing directly with Prime Minister Netanyahu. We already have been dealing directly with senior representatives of the prime minister.
But your point is precisely the one I alluded to just a moment ago. This is not an academic question. We know the historic – historical analogies, the historical corollaries. And that’s why we’re deeply concerned. We’re deeply concerned by any unilateral actions because – precisely because they have the potential to exacerbate tensions, or worse. And that’s why we can look back to 2000, we can look back to previous instances. It’s also why we call for the preservation of the historic status quo.
Ariel Sharon visited the Temple Mount. Islamists insist on describing Jewish visits as “storming”. It’s also been widely established that his visit had nothing to do with the violence which was already being prepped.
Price however agrees and echoes that particular Big Lie.
There is a historical analogy here. It’s apartheid.
“Now, when it comes to the historic status quo, it’s not for me to define from here what the historic status quo is; it’s not for the United States to prescribe what the historic status quo is. That’s a question of history. It’s a question for —”
It’s a question for the Muslim conquerors who lost, but whose bigotry and oppression, the Biden administration is determined to uphold.
Jews pray at the western wall. This retaining wall actually has no particular religious significance. It was the ultimate gesture of liberal accommodation when in 67′ Israel could have simply annexed the Temple Mount, allowed muslims to pray at their mosque but assumed their rightful role as the religion and peoples who build this site. That would have shut down the madness. The madness of Islam that allows them to be offended at anything and everything including murdering those they are offended by and at. Now…. the ‘progressives’ come back with Biden and affirm the apartheid that prevents Jews from their right to walk on that land, and calls it an offense that causes ‘tensions’. Meanwhile around the globe, the existence of others causes ‘tensions’ that cause muslims to slaughter others. And they call that ‘restive areas’ instead of drilling down to the simple and obvious causes.
That would have been the right thing to do, but the leadership at the time was secular, attached no value and thought that letting the Muslims keep it would avoid controversy. Not only did that fail, but it became an inciting cause for more attacks with the regular round of “Al Aqsa is threatening”.
Has to be God’s judgement on this nation to have this butt kissing boot licker – Joke Biden – as POTUS.
“Historic status quo” is a weasel word phrase with plastic meaning to justify ANYTHING.
Jerusalem is for the Jews. All of Israel is for the Jews. If anyone who does not embrace the Jews and their religion, who does not love and support Israel, must be expelled. There are non-religious and non-spiritual reasons for this to be so.
And ALL the reasons to oppose Israel are rooted in spiritual wickedness, otherwise weasel words would not be necessary.
Many of these wicked people are also sons of Abraham, and they do NOT honor their ancestor or his God, who gave Israel and Jerusalem to the Jews.
“historic status quo” … is just a newer expression meaning you will change yourself to submit to Islamic demands, and in Islamic places – you submit to Islamic demands.
And that Islamic claims are forever valid, but the claims of anyone they attack are not.
Someone ought to ask Mr. Price if he supports the historic status quo of denying Jews their civil rights, since that had been a historical fact in all Christian countries well into the 19 century, with the exception of the United States, and remains in all Muslim countries until now.
One could easily argue that today’s generally easy acceptance of antisemitism around the world is a continuation of a historic status quo of demonization and mistreatment of the Jews in the last 2000 years.
Israel should institute the exact reverse of the status quo. Ban all Islamofascists from Jerusalem and tear down all their mosques.
That is the status quo they invented
That is the original status. Once it’s implemented, it becomes the status quo.
So, the historic status quo that existed for thousands of years before Islam came into existence means nothing to this idiots.
My sentiments, exactly. To the vile Dhimmi-crats and their Muslim supremacist/terrorist allies, Jews’ historical ties to the middle east that pre-date the founding of the supremacist, belligerent and totalitarian ideology of “Submission by millennia, represent an inconvenient historical fact/history that is to be ignored/dismissed, because it undercuts entirely the contrived and fallacious Muslim propaganda narrative that Jews are alleged “settlers” and “colonizers” of land in which they were living for thousands of years before such a thing as a “Muslim” ever existed.
The vile Dhimmi-crats’ reference to a so-called “historical status quo” is transparently a dishonest euphemism to refer to Muslim supremacists’/terrorists’ obnoxious and totalitarian diktat threatening that Jews — whose existence in the middle east pre-dates the founding of the supremacist, totalitarian and belligerent ideology of “Submission” by millennia, let’s note — be banned from visiting their own holy sites, under the extortionist threat of additional violent outbursts from the perennially belligerent and violent Muslim supremacists/terrorists.
The tension is only coming from one side.
The “status quo” of history is the same as the race track. When you lose you pay and when you win you collect. The Arab enemies of Israel have been trained by decades of losing to not pay when they lose. They kept going to the window to bet, but demanded their losses back and even claimed their intended winnings. Israel, under world pressure, kept returning their winnings. The result is compulsive gambling by the losers.
Since no one ever collects from them, their behavior just gets more abusive and destructive.
I don’t understand all this. Why don’t the Israeli’s give them Palestinians what’s theirs and build their own temple or whatever somewhere else?
I’m no expert but christian religion causes so much trouble in the world – Colonialism, Racism, Sexism, Whiteism, Suppression, Ableism – and so on, why don’t the Israelis leave the Palestinians alone? Instead of humiliating them all day. They are so powerful with they’re fighter plane’s and rocket’s, whereas the Palestinians have literally nothing (!) to eat and starve all day! Please read the memos by Oxfam, Amnesty International or the UN.
All this trouble just because of an effing, meaningless Arabian “temple” i.e. an old building! This is kindergarten style, guys. I don’t get it!
Religion is the cause of all war’s in the world and so much 90ies, 80ies or even worse. We now have much much more serious problem’s like Climate change, over population, Planet extintion Racism and so on.
Please wake up Republican’s and stop dividing the Planet!
Part 1
“I don’t understand all this. Why don’t the Israeli’s give them Palestinians what’s theirs and build their own temple or whatever somewhere else?”
To which I respond: How do you define what is “theirs”?
The term “Palestinian” originally referred to the Jews, as becomes very evident if you read old documents from the 1940s or earlier. Moreover, even a cursory evidence at the historical jihad by the likes of UNESCO shows concentrated attempts to destroy all archeological and historical evidence of Jewish history in Jerusalem, in spite of this being so clearly the truth. This tells me that Balestinian organizations are not acting in good faith or to remedy actual injustices, but are trying to delegitimize Israel and the Jews as a whole, retroactively mutilating history 1984 style to do it.
Why would anybody want to give in or appease such an evil agenda?
Part 2
“I’m no expert but christian religion causes so much trouble in the world – Colonialism, Racism, Sexism, Whiteism, Suppression, Ableism and so on, ”
This is dumb on multiple levels. To avoid getting too deep into theology, all of those existed without Christianity. And indeed, racism and “Whiteism” (whatever the F___ that is supposed to mean) were often carried by virulently anti-Christian ideologues like Hitler. While even a cursory examination of the Qin Empire shows that Sexism, Suppression, Abelism (Roman Eugenics, anyone), and Colonialism WELL predated Christianity.
Of course this does not mean that Christians have not committed those assorted sins at various points, and even justified them using Christianity. But the idea that the likes of Augustus Caesar needed Christianity to demonize Northern Europeans and Persians is historically and culturally illiterate.
” why don’t the Israelis leave the Palestinians alone? Instead of humiliating them all day. ”
This is inverted.
Firstly: Humiliation is no justification for violence.
Secondly: The Israelis have been the side consistently more willing to come to the peace table and cut a deal, going back to at least 1947. It has been the assorted “Balestinian” leadership going back to genocidal Nazi collaborator nutjob al-Husseini who have refused to compromise or leave the Israelis alone. What part of “From the RIver to the Sea” do you not understand?
Part 3
“They are so powerful with they’re fighter plane’s and rocket’s,”
Firstly: that should be Their.
Secondly: The PLO and Hamas have one of the world’s largest light scale rocket arsenals on Earth, which they have used to kill hundreds upon hundreds of Israelis in the past several years.
Thirdly: Back when they could count on the Arab League to listen to them and come with troops, the Balestinians could regularly count on jet air support and strategic missiles.
” whereas the Palestinians have literally nothing (!) to eat and starve all day! ”
Translation: You LITERALLY haven’t researched any- AND I MEAN *ANY* – demographic information about the so-called “Balestinian Territories”, have you?
Obesity is goddamn epidemic among the Balestinian populations in the Gaza Strip (the supposed area under Blockade) and Judea and Samaria. That doesn’t happen if they actually had nothing to eat and slaved every day. Moreover, the Israelis do not stop the imports of foodstuffs into places like Gaza, though they do try to limit or stop what dual purpose goods they can (such as sugar, which can be used as rocket fuel; gee, how do you think they realized that?) but which they are reliant on Egyptian goodwill and competence to actually block.
The North Koreans – especially in the Northeast- would LOVE to deal with such “hunger” and “slaving.”
Part 4
“Please read the memos by Oxfam, Amnesty International or the UN.”
I already have. They are comically disreputable propaganda by totalitarian regimes (as Hamas and the Balestinian Authority ARE), incompetently made to boot. I am reminded of the endless shilling by these organizations uncritically recycling propaganda by the genocidal Hitler/Stalin cosplay act Saddam Hussein, talking about how sanctions had somehow caused hundreds of thousands of dead (…… in a country where Saddam Hussein had almost unlimited power).
Only for all of that to be revealed for the lie it all ways when 2003 happened and the Hussein regime’s intelligence was found, showing how they had played the useful idiots of the UN, Amnesty International, and so on like fiddles.
As far as I am concerned, none of those have any grounds to be trusted without corroborating evidence.
Especially since I can read things like demographic data (including that put out for the UN) for the likes of the Gaza Strip, and read basic Grade School Level Biological Textbooks underlining how a growing population and an obesity epidemic would be impossible under conditions of having no food.
You would do well to expand your research, because it is clear you haven’t studied the matter very well.
Part 5
“All this trouble just because of an effing, meaningless Arabian “temple” i.e. an old building! This is kindergarten style, guys. I don’t get it!”
And you never will get this because you have very obviously not researched the matter, certainly not as well as you have.
Even if you believe that the holiest site in Judaism is “meaningless” (something I profoundly disagree with as a Christian, and SHOULD be the case in Islam), it does not take much research at all to realize that the conflict over the temples is a proxy for the actual conflict. One in which the Balestinian Leadership – in spiritual thrall to the Nazi shill al-Husseini- wish to destroy the Jews and their history, something that Jews can scarcely ignore.
Part 6
“Religion is the cause of all war’s in the world ”
Hahahaha No.
If you really think that, how do you explain the Damansky Island War between the PRC and the USSR, or the 1979 war between Communist Vietnam and the USSR on one hand and the PRC and Khmer Rouge on the other? All regimes involved were fanatically atheist.
What of the Hundred Years’ War, between overwhelmingly Catholic powers?
Religion has always been a good justification for war, but so have countless other things such as hunger for power, dynastic rights, economic access, and so forth.
“and so much 90ies, 80ies or even worse.”
What the heck is this? I literally do not even know what this means. Probably because I prefer writing simply.
Part 7
“We now have much much more serious problem’s like Climate change, over population, Planet extintion Racism and so on.”
Firstly: A racist attempt to deny the history of an entire nation and wipe them out is certainly racism.
Secondly: Anybody trying to claim that the world is overpopulated does not understand demographics, the ecology, or demographics.
Thirdly: I will believe “climate change” is both urgent and non-inevitable when t he people caterwauling about it the most actually adjust their lives to indicate it.
“Please wake up Republican’s and stop dividing the Planet!”
Please wake up, Anita. The world was divided long before the Republican Party – or even the Whig Party that preceded it- existed. Fail to understand this and you will be lost.
Tortoise Herder, I thank you. I always learn new things when you contribute. Thank you for your time, patience and grace with Anita.
Have you ever been to the Holy Land? If not, you don’t know that Israel is Jewish. Period. It is their country, their religion, their land, their monuments. Not Muslims. Period.
Anita dear, did you advise the ‘Palestinians’ to take their ‘Arabian Temple’ and move it to Arabia, or you just want to move the Jews into the sea?
You poor child. You really don’t get it, and you believe every lie that is fed to you. You should pray to a loving and merciful G0d that He give you wisdom and discernment to go with the mind that He gave you.
You do not understand because you do not understand history. You would rather indulge in buzz words of the current thing. The Temple Mount, Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria are not the for Arabs/Palestinians to own. There land are not theirs – in any way. The so-called Palestinians are recent interlopers. The Jews, on the other hand, are the area’s indigenous people who have either remained in place for centuries or have returned from the worldwide diaspora.
“Jews visiting the Temple Mount is “unacceptable” to the Biden administration.”
Hubris (definition)
Someone please direct Anita back from whence she came.
“Status Quo”? This is BS and a lie. The jews built the Temple Mount and to let the vial muslims keep it is a travesty. The state of Israel should remove ever speck of muslim occupation.
To everyone but Israel it seems that the 1967 six day war is nothing more than a kind of video game that can simply be “reset” and not count as anything real with actual consequences. Everyone but Israel wants a do-over. It’s no game to us. We’re not the invaders over millennia who glorify violence and stoke it with lies and perversion. We are in what I call the Age of Manipulation. Ignorance and jealousy will make you susceptible to manipulation. And having no memory of actual events. Our enemies count on that. Don’t “remember“ 1967? Great! Don’t know the first sentence of the Torah? Great!! Why do Jews make aliyah? Because they remember the how and why and what of 1967 and they know the first sentence of the Torah. Israel is the only land whose borders are defined by God in the Torah. Why do all the other countries in the world think they will be around forever?
Price says, “Haram al-Sharif/Temple Mount”. That tells you all you need to know. He uses the Arabic Muslim name and the English name, but never the Hebrew name Har haBayit. Another attempt to wipe out the Jewish nature of the site.
the democrats will always side with any anti god murderers . the KKK , islam , germany [ nothing has changed since hitler ] , the u.n. which is run by russia and china and just like the romans and jews during christs time on this planet they will hate christ with a passion not forgetting he came to the jews as a jew . christ is hated above all religious founders as he called men and women to repentance and proved beyond a doubt he was god incarnate . both jew and gentile were complicit in his murder . so if they can erase the jew then they believe they can erase god . the battle of armageddon will prove otherwise . while the u.n. and its fickle members continue the lie of a two state solution GOD will continue to cause their actions futile . hence the reason the u.s. has a puppet nincompoop as their supposed president .
Decisors of Jewish law disagree as to which portions of the Temple Mount are permnissible or off limits for Jews to visit and what precautions such as immersion in a mikveh are necessary to permit entry in the permissible locations and whether prayer of a private kind as opposed to communal prayers , ( not animal sacrifices) are permissible . I am unaware of any decisor of Jewish law who pernits entry into the Dome of the Rock. which is considered the location of the Binding of Issac which is where the First and Second Temples clearly stood . That being the point, it is no secret that the Arabs have for years been engaged in a campaign of destroying any archaelogical proor of a Jewish presence and act as if they are the real owners of the Temple Mount when in fact the Israelis reasserted Jewish ownership over the same in 1967 and in an overly magnimanimous gesture allowed the Wakf to maintain control thereof.
The historic status quo for millennia was Israeli control of the Temple Mount. Even when Christendom included historic Israeli land, the chosen people had free access to the site of Solomon’s and Herod’s Temples, though the Romans had demolished the latter. Only since the seventh century has the land been under Arab control as a result of military conquest, occasionally relieved by Christian resistance.
The Roman appellation, Palestine, applied to a place, not a people. Arab occupation of the land YHWH gave to the children of Abraham was, is, and will always be unlawful.
Biden Admin says what GOP admin is going to say in the next 10 years given present trends.
Maybe less probably not more. That’s why some of us would like to arrive before present destination.
Biden will sell us all for the right price, he has absolutely no morals.
Totally AGREE. Now, the GOP is going to work on cleaning out the “SWAMPY” people. This will go until we the people VOTE in a REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT.
The best solution for the long run would be to raze the mosque as soon as possible. The barbarians tell themselves that the historic status quo remains in place because of the hand of Allah. They must be disabused of that notion.
