I know Russia is exploring some extraordinary technology, but I don’t think they have time machines.
Nonetheless future MSNBC commentator Jen Psaki, lying right to the faces of the press, while expecting the public to have no memory of anything that happened before February, pushes that bizarre lie.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Monday that the Labor Department’s previous report – which showed prices rising at a dramatic rate in February – failed to include the majority of the jump in oil and gas costs caused by the Kremlin’s unprovoked invasion.
“We expect March CPI headline inflation to be extraordinarily elevated due to Putin’s price hike,” Psaki told reporters.
Why was there inflation in January? Putin’s time machine? Why were gas prices rising then?
The January inflation report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed a year-over-year increase of 7.5%, the highest reading in 40 years.
Was Putin hiking prices in January?
The U.S. Department of Labor said that prices measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose 0.6% in January on a seasonally adjusted basis. Year-over-year, prices have increased 7.5%, the highest yearly inflation since 1982.
Food, fuel and housing prices were the largest contributors to the seasonally adjusted increase. Both food and fuel prices rose by 0.9%, and housing rose by 0.3%.
Putin probably also made Psaki lie.
