In his Friday dump, Biden decided to revoke a number of President Trump’s executive orders including the one creating the National Garden of American Heroes. This order was a reaction to BLM’s vandalism of American statues with the collaboration of local Democrat authorities.
As executive orders go, this was an odd choice to rescind considering that it called for little more than the creation of a garden of statues and the huge list of potential figures included plenty of lefty favorites like Woody Guthrie and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a whole lot of pop culture figures from a particular era from John Wayne to Jimmy Stewart, some conservative heroes, like Barry Goldwater, William F. Buckley, Jr. and Antonin Scalia, and the sort of traditional American figures whom the Left was obsessively tearing down including George Washington and Thomas Jefferson.
When you’ve got a list that includes Kobe Bryant, Ernest Hemingway, Harriet Tubman, Walt Whitman, Booker T. Washington, and Rosa Parks, you’ve got a list that no lefty in their right mind could reasonably object to.
But Biden decided to wipe out the garden, including taking out both Frank Capra and Jimmy Stewart in one blow.
First, the Democrats go after the filibuster and now a helpful reminder from the Biden administration of the role it wants to play in Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.
