According to Democrat DOJ Civil Rights commissars, a black nationalist hate group intimidating voters outside a polling place isn’t voter intimidation, but an election audit is voter intimidation.
Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Pamela S. Karlan said that the Senate contractor’s plans to directly contact voters could amount to illegal voter intimidation.
“Past experience with similar investigative efforts around the country has raised concerns that they can be directed at minority voters, which potentially can implicate the anti-intimidation prohibitions of the Voting Rights Act,” Karlan wrote. “Such investigative efforts can have a significant intimidating effect on qualified voters that can deter them from seeking to vote in the future.”
You may remember Karlan from her “the Constitution says there can be no titles of nobility, so while the president can name his son Barron, he can’t make him a baron” moment. Facebook put her on its Oversight Board and then she went off to join the Biden administration.
Karlan is a genuinely unpleasant person and so it’s no surprise that she’s abusing the DOJ Civil Rights setup to shut down an election audit.
