Over the years, Joe Biden has kept claiming that his son Beau Biden died in Iraq.
Biden claimed that his son, Beau Biden, “lost his life in Iraq” when he died of cancer in Maryland. Then he said it again, “I’m thinking about Iraq because that’s where my son died.”
While Joe Biden is a notorious pathological liar, the Hur testimony also made clear that he truly believes it.
While talking about the years 2017 and 2018, Biden said: “Remember, in this time frame, my son is — either been deployed or is dying” and adds: “And, and so what was happening, though — what month did Beau die? Oh, God, May 30 —” before Cotton offered that it was in 2015.
Beau Biden actually came home in 2009.
Now maybe Joe Biden was putting on a show for the special counsel, but I don’t think so. He’s said it enough times that he clearly believes it. And the interview provided a window into how he believes it. He really thinks that his son was deployed in Iraq in 2017 where he then died. Nobody on his staff can fix this because he believes it. And he doesn’t want to hear otherwise.
How much does it matter?
It’s a break with reality. And while people are entitled to live in their own delusions if they don’t affect anything else, I’m not sure that applies to someone in a position of serious responsibility. We’d have questions about an air traffic controller or police officer who believed that his dead wife was still alive. The president is in a position where his judgment is vital. And the Beau story shows one area where Joe Biden isn’t living in the real world.
The question is are there other areas also? How in touch with reality is he?
It’s a scary question to ask about a man who can start wars or cause major havoc at will.
The Beau Biden story shows that there’s something seriously wrong there. And there may be other things wrong too.
The kind of mental state that allows a man to believe something that clearly isn’t true might be isolated in movies or plays, but in real life rarely is.
Joe Biden is suffering from something. It may be age-related or something else medical, but it’s there.
The Beau delusion is likely the most obvious symptom because it’s the greatest source of stress, but it’s not the only thing. In the years to come, we’re likely to find out just how bad it was.
His long term memory is probably still working (he can probably remember things from his childhood) and his short term memory is shot. Medium term memory,I dunno, it seems to roll back somehow. Like a certain person could remember her childhood and spoke perfectly the language (not English) she grew up with as a child (spoken by her family though it was in San Francisco). She could remember WW1 incidents but got confused when it came to the 1930s.
Wouldn’t a lifetime of lying make long term memory confused?
The dementia-riddled Biden believes many things that aren’t true. He started out his SOTU address by talking about Ukraine, as if that’s first and foremost on American minds. Then, how we’re getting less potato chips in each bag and this factoid’s relevancy to us. He told us how great the economy is and how well Bidenomics is working out. He told us that the top 1%, who pay 46% of all taxes, aren’t paying their fare share. Hell, he actually believes he’s in charge! lol
The really weird thing is that his dementia must be communicable, for while Democrats praised the speech as a tour de force, Americans largely panned Biden’s Adderall spiked performance as more of the same with no appreciable polling gains.
Biden has spent a political lifetime believing things that weren’t true. It’s unsurprising that Beau got lost in that convoluted miasma.

Biden has been a devoted liar for many years. That has consequences. He curated his monstrous character on display today. He most likely does believe his whoppers. The fact that he uses his own dead son as a political prop is execrable.
If Pedo Joe even thinks Beau’s death by cancer resulted from deployment in Iraq, why does he support sending other men’s sons to foreign wars? What a hypocrite!
Like all of us Biden wants to believe in things that aren’t so, and since he is also aggressively, savagely mendacious he “believes” whatever he excretes.
