Biden decided to briefly postpone his vacation trip to Delaware (after vacationing in Camp David when Afghanistan fell) to give yet another speech lying about his decision to abandon as many as 15,000 Americans in Afghanistan while refusing to go out and rescue them.

The French and the British are going out and getting their people. Biden has sent 7,000 or so troops to secure the inside of the airport.

Americans are unable to reach the airport. They’re being abused and assaulted by Taliban fighters. And Biden keeps lying about it.

Billed as an “update”, it was a string of lies and yet another tawdry example of Biden dragging around his dead son as a campaign prop.

Biden lied, “We have no indication that they haven’t been able to get through Kabul to the airport.”

Even his own Democrat cable news programs are full of stories about Americans who haven’t been able to get to the airport.

Biden kept saying that the Taliban would enable the evacuation. What that really means is outsourcing evacuation approval to the Taliban.

Further lying, Biden falsely claimed that our NATO allies were happy with this catastrophe. The British are clearly very unhappy.

“Let me be clear: any American who wants to come home, we will get you home,” Biden falsely claimed, even as his own Secretary of Defense stated that American forces, unlike British and French forces, would not leave the airport to rescue Americans. They would not help Americans make it through the cordon around the airport or past the Taliban.

Biden claims that he’s considering it, even as his own people say it’s not happening.

And his own advisers have been weaseling about whether American forces will remain in Kabul after the August 31 deadline.

The repeated claims that Americans want to stay in Afghanistan and don’t want to come home is murderously cynical gaslighting.

Biden assumes that he can just keep lying and get away with it before heading on to fly off for more vacation time in Delaware. But this time it’s not working.
