Remember when Democrats and their media were losing their minds because President Trump delivered his RNC address at the White House during a pandemic?
But baking a massive political operation into the White House is fine.
(Reuters) – President Joe Biden will sign an executive order on Monday that will create a task force to promote labor organizing, a White House official said, at a time when just over 6 percent of U.S. private-sector workers belong to unions.
The White House task force will be headed by Vice President Kamala Harris, the official, who did not wish to be named, told Reuters. Labor Secretary Marty Walsh will serve as vice chair of the group.
The task force will also include top cabinet officials such as Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, the White House economic advisers Cecilia Rouse and Brian Deese, the White House climate adviser Gina McCarthy and Treasury Secretary Janet L. Yellen.
Why the hell is the Secretary of Defense involved in this? Is Biden going to try to unionize the military.
It’s not as crazy of an idea as it sounds. The American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) tried to unionize the military before. Andy Stapp, a Marxist recruit, created the American Servicemen’s Union.
Biden-Harris may not be trying quite that high a moonshot. They may be bringing in Austin, who has proven to be the worst S of D so far, even worse than the guys Obama fired every week, to pressure defense contractors.
That seems like a likelier scenario, but this is a radical team that is not immune to moonshots. They’re pushing to pack the Supreme Court and pack the states by turning D.C. and Puerto Rico into states. Every lefty idea, from dismantling the filibuster to eliminating the suburbs, is on the table.
