Rep. Clyburn is the third highest ranking House Dem, a Farrakhan fan, sleazy and slimy, and the guy Biden owes for South Carolina. And since South Carolina made Biden the presumptive nominee, that means Biden owes Clyburn and owes him big.

And Clyburn can’t wait to collect.

He’s telling Biden to be more touchy feely and ordering the DNC to shut down the remaining primaries. Which is utterly crazy. It’s an escalation with the Bernie Bros that would nuke the party and is an admission that Biden is a weak candidate. The latter is undoubtedly true.

And Clyburn can’t wait to take advantage of that weakness.

Clyburn added that he also wanted the Democratic nominee for vice president to be a person of color, and that he already had a candidate in mind for the bottom half of a Biden ticket. 

“I would love for it to be a person of color,” Clyburn said. But when pressed on who he wanted as Biden’s running mate, Clyburn demurred.

“I’m not telling you,” he said. He also said he had “not discussed the VP stuff” with Biden. 

Which CBC member will it be? Rep. Maxine Waters? Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee? Some more local ally of Clyburn’s?

Bottom line is Biden has a Clyburn problem. The House Dem is trying to run his campaign. And run Biden. 

Biden is weak enough that Clyburn might just succeed.
