If it’s Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday, it must be time for another Biden speech about democracy, January 6 or authoritarianism. (Preferably while surrounded by armed men and threatening to outlaw the opposition.)
Beyond the obvious totalitarian threat that all of this poses, the root cause here is that Biden can’t run on anything else.
The fitful attempts to run on Bidenomics cratered very quickly. Biden hasn’t accomplished anything except in the minds of New York Times columnists and Ms. Rubin of the Washington Post. Unpopular with the country at large and even within much of his party, Biden can only run on Trump by giving speeches about the threat to democracy and J6 until everyone, even people who own Mueller votive candles, are sick and tired of it all.
Even though he’s been in office for four years, Biden is hardly bothering to run on his record, but instead frames his incumbent candidacy as some sort of defense of “democracy”.
The more people hate the economy, the more he talks about democracy.
People can’t afford to buy food or a house? Time for a talk about J6.
Most Americans polled say that they expect the future to be worse? Give a prime time democracy speech.

Democracy has become a distraction. And apart from a narrow slice of his party, it isn’t working. Democrats already hate and fear Trump, and that may be enough to goose turnout (it’s not like anyone turned out to vote for Biden in 2020 based on enthusiasm for a candidate whose biggest accomplishment was spending his entire life in D.C.) but the enthusiasm has long since turned negative. Biden hopes to ride his democracy speeches through perfunctory rigged primaries so that Democrats will have no choice. Democracy is really about ending democracy beginning with the democracy within the Democrat Party.
He’s a disgrace. The most divisive President of my lifetime. And the chutzpah he has accusing anyone of being a dictator. He’s the one who unilaterally decided not to enforce laws he took and oath to faithfully execute literally only moments previously. He’s the one who unilaterally decides to absolve people from paying rent or repaying their student loans even after the Supreme Court told him he had no authority to do so. He’s the one who routinely has violated the Constitution by colluding to censor social media posts that run contrary to his regime’s narratives and has violated our citizens’ rights to equal protection under the 5th and 14th Amendments with his “equity” agenda. He’s the one who has weaponized the DOJ and FBI against his political opposition. And he calls anyone else a threat to democracy? He is the absolute worst, the worst President and the worst man to ever be President. As I began my comment, he is a disgrace.
Joe Bite-Me is a disgrace? Those who say that out loud must beware of the F.I.S.A. warrant for purportedly spreading Russian disinformation and doing the bidding of Vladimir Putin. Alas, “they’re coming to take me away, ha haaa!”
Further, “Running on Democracy” is far too lenient.

Hound your political opponents, encourage if not outright force your opponents political positions to be banned and when that doesn’t work, remove your political opponents from ballots.

It trashed the January 6th tourists as murderous, seditionist criminals and flogged that ridiculous Dirtbagocrat lie that President Trump led a rebellion against America. Bizarro World is more believable than Boring Ass Biden. And it was delivered in his usual “hey you kids! Get offa’ my lawn” style. He’s the worst public speaker (old man shouter) in history. An example would be the story of George Washington chopping down the cherry tree. As a very young boy, my father instilled in me the love and reverence for George Washington. Why is it when I hear Biden invoke “Democracy” I think of the word in the context of the former East Germany or North Korea?
