It was said of the Roman Emperor Caligula that he first made his favorite horse a priest and then tried to make him a senator. Joe Biden, whose mental state is almost as good as Caligula’s, is doing his best imitation of a mad Roman emperor.
Former PA secretary of health sworn in as first openly transgender four-star admiral
Dr. Rachel (Rick) Levine was sworn in as the admiral of the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps Tuesday morning, making him the first openly transgender four-star officer.
Levine, the former secretary of health in Pennsylvania, made history in March by becoming the first openly transgender federal official to be confirmed by the U.S. Senate, under the Biden Administration.
Before that, Rick Levine was making history by turning nursing home patients into history.
Governor Tom Wolf’s grandma-killing administration had ordered Pennsylvania nursing homes to accept “readmissions for current residents who have been discharged from the hospital” in order to “alleviate the increasing burden in the acute care settings” including “patients who have had the COVID-19 virus.”
Wolf’s Secretary of Health, Dr. Richard (Rachel) Levine, had transferred his own mother out of a nursing home and to a hotel.
Thousands of people died while Dr. Rick made sure to keep his own mother from being one of them.
New calls on Tuesday evening to investigate how the Wolf Administration handled nursing homes during the pandemic. Early on, nearly 70% of Pennsylvania’s deaths occurred in long-term care facilities.
But the only thing the national media wanted to talk about is how historic it is that Pennsylvania had a health official who believes he’s a woman.
Brad Swidler last saw his father Norman in his nursing facility just before COVID-19.
“Jan. 26 it was his birthday he was eating cake and ice cream and he was well,” Swidler said.
A few months later, it was drastically worse.
“It was a sight I couldn’t believe,” Swidler said.
Norman survived the Holocaust, but not COVID-19 — one of more than 12,000 deaths in long-term care facilities.
How many COVID-positive patients did Norman’s facility accept? Did they make Norman sick? Did that memo cost lives? His son would like to know.
“We deserve factual answers. Not political rhetoric or anything like that, but answers as to why?” Swidler asked.
Instead of answers, there was a coverup.
During a federal confirmation hearing Thursday, former Health Secretary Rachel Levine was questioned about the ongoing data discrepancies in Pennsylvania’s public reports on nursing home coronavirus deaths and cases.
Levine, who was nominated by President Joe Biden to serve as assistant health secretary, oversaw the Pennsylvania Department of Health through the first year of the pandemic, which has killed thousands of people in long-term care facilities.
U.S. Sen. Susan Collins (R., Maine) said Levine had assured her that Pennsylvania had accurately reported deaths in these homes, unlike New York, where the attorney general found that the Cuomo administration had undercounted fatalities by the thousands.
But Collins questioned that claim, citing Spotlight PA reporting from September 2020 that found weekly reports released by the state health department were consistently missing death and case data for more than 100 of the state’s 693 nursing homes.
But Rick/Rachel Levine only keeps failing upwards. Forcing infected patients into nursing homes while wearing a dress garnered him a federal position and now a role as a four-star admiral. He’s breaking glass ceilings and it’s all very historic.
Unfortunately, the history is that of the fall of Rome.
