Okay, fundraising emails are stupid. But this Biden campaign is beyond being merely stupid. It assumes that the average Biden voter can’t read.
Joe Biden’s presidential campaign is accusing President Trump’s campaign of poaching online donors. In a fundraising email sent to supporters Thursday, the Biden campaign pointed out that if someone types “donate Joe Biden” into a Google search, the first link to appear is one that directs them to donate to Donald J. Trump for President.”
“Trump’s campaign is paying money to run ads online so that their donation link is the first thing you see when you search ‘donate Joe Biden,'” the email read. “But, listen, here’s the thing: We can’t stop them because we’re out of money to run online ads for the rest of the month.”
Wait.
So the Biden campaign is already out of money and worried that its donors are so illiterate that they can’t tell Trump from Biden?
A report from a few months back showed Biden blowing through $40 million bucks and having $10 million on hand.
Also Biden doesn’t seem to know how addresses or online ads work. When you search for GM cars, you might find that Toyota took out an ad there. That’s routine, though the media has frenziedly tried to turn Facebook scraping by Cambridge Analytica into a vast conspiracy (after cheering scraping by the Obama campaign) and its fact checkers are trying to criminalize political satire.
Anyway, please go to Joe303030 or whatever and help Biden get the word out to his illiterate supporters that his name isn’t Trump or he won’t have any money to have his toupee cleaned and washed.
Biden has no other way to prevent his supporters, who reflexively click the ‘donate’ button whenever the bell rings, from donating to Trump.
