Speaker Pelosi proposed to join a congressional delegation to Taiwan. China is not happy with the idea and when Beijing says “跳”, Joe asks, “high how bunco alarm clock caterpillar in Piscataway?”

President Joe Biden said, “The military thinks it’s not a good idea right now,” when asked Wednesday whether House Speaker Nancy Pelosi should take a planned trip to Taiwan, according to pool reports.

The military has no place telling elected officials whether they should travel to an allied nation. I know Gen. Milley has made it a point to express his opinions on all sorts of civilian leadership issues, but this is not his lane.

Unless he thinks China will respond to Pelosi’s trip by trying to kill her, which is certainly not happening, any such commentary is inappropriate. 

But it’s more likely that Biden is hiding behind the military to express the will of Communist China. Even saying what he said is a pathetic sign of weakness. Imagine Xi or Putin saying that the military advised against another leader’s trip to Cuba.

As outrageous as this is, it’s just another day for Beijing Biden.
