It wouldn’t be another day without another string of lies from the Biden regime. Faced with defeats on all fronts, Biden’s people double down on the lies.
Biden was forced to scuttle the nomination of David Chipman, Bloomberg’s anti-2nd amendment lobbyist, because even more moderate Senate Dems refused to vote for him.
And the Biden administration responded by putting out a surreal statement blaming Republicans for the defeat.
Unfortunately, Republicans in Congress have made clear that they intend to use gun crime as a political talking point instead of taking serious steps to address it. That’s why they’ve moved in lockstep to block David Chipman’s confirmation
Sure, just ask prominent Republican, Dick Durbin.
Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin said Monday that “there are a lot of issues” with President Joe Biden’s pick to oversee the nation’s firearm regulations.
The Senate has yet to move forward on David Chipman’s nomination to lead the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. A handful of moderate Democrats, including Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Jon Tester (D-Mont.), have yet to say whether they’ll support his nomination.
And then there were the accusations of racism.
The Biden administration putting out a press release blaming Republicans for acting in “lockstep” to block the Chipman nomination is targeted at people who can’t do math. If every Democrat were in lockstep, Chipman would be in. Instead, Biden picked a nominee so radical that even Senate Dems were leery of voting for him.
The takeaway is how dumb or dishonest do Biden’s people think the media is? The only people likely to process the White House press release are in the media. And the White House expects the media to act as its narrative echo chamber. But it would help if the lies weren’t this obvious.
