Money is just mere numbers at this point. The government spends money like water flowing over Niagara Falls so why even pay attention to a mere $174 billion in a multi-trillion dollar train wreck. But it’s telling that a massive fortune is going to subsidize electric car owners and then raise electricity prices.

The measure, called the American Jobs Plan, includes $174 billion in spending to boost the electric vehicle market and shift away from gas-powered cars. 

The electric vehicle market seems to be going strong already. At least for those with the cash to afford it. And those areas where electric cars or hybrids makes sense. Hard as it is for the ruling class to imagine, in much of the country electric cars make no sense. And they’re already heavily subsidized by poorer car owners in places like California whose Tesla and Prius boom was built on the backs of actual car owners.

So Biden would like to spend a whole bunch of money promoting special interests and the lifestyles of the rich and famous.

The greed of the Democrats knows neither decency nor limit.

The initiatives involve funding to install half a million charging stations across the country by 2030, incentives for Americans to buy EVs and money to retool factories and boost domestic supply of materials. Electric cars only make up about 2% of new auto sales in the U.S.

Do some of the wealthiest car owners in the country really need their own convenient charging stations subsidized by the taxpayers?

Biden also proposes the creation of a “Energy Efficiency and Clean Electricity Standard,” a mandate that would require a portion of U.S. electricity come from zero-carbon sources like wind and solar power. The mandate would require congressional approval.

That means making the power grid less reliable resulting in the kinds of disasters that happened in Texas. And, also making power more expensive.

Biden is proposing to make power more expensive and less reliable while making transportation more dependent on the power grid. The plan to Californicate America’s power grid will lead to a lot more blackouts, brownouts, and skyrocketing energy prices… just as it did in California.

And the Democrats, if they get their way, will blame the diety of climate change, instead of taking credit for making people’s lives miserable.
