The Biden team, Kamala, and their media are the exchange of criminals for hostages as some sort of diplomatic triumph. The reality is that Biden once again encouraged and rewarded taking Americans hostage. The only outcome of this “diplomatic triumph” will be that when Russia, China, Iran, or any other enemy nation wants to spring some of its operatives, they’ll lock up a few Americans.
It works so why not keep doing it?
The only way to disincentivize hostage-taking is to stop rewarding it. And if the United States is going to keep trading for citizens who get locked up in countries like Russia or Iran, there needs to be a hard ban on traveling to those countries backed by serious financial penalties. Anything else just feeds the same cycle.
While the families of hostages, whether in America or Israel, understandably want their loved ones released, sometimes at any cost, governments can’t function that way.
Worse still, Biden didn’t make this deal to save Americans, but to prop up a presidential campaign. If the deal appeared somewhat less bad than previous deals it was because Putin was rushing to get this in ahead of a possible Trump presidency. He knew he was going to get a better deal from Biden than Trump and he wasn’t disappointed.
Paying a ransom to kidnappers isn’t good policy and it isn’t a triumph, it’s an admission of defeat.
But that’s all the Biden era has been. One defeat after another. Bouts of appeasement followed by more of the same.
I’ll be honest, I’ve never understood the Democrat position on hostages other than most of them are pacifists…and that’s a good way to get them killed or get taken to the cleaners.
Most folks have missed the fact that Trump has already been warning rogue nations that if they’re holding American hostages, it would be be better for them if they released them now rather than when he got back into office.
This factoid alone tells us a lot about the MSM’s lack of honest coverage and the fact that Trump isn’t a glory hog, allowing the Biden administration to take credit for something for which they’re not responsible.

Also, the timing to announce a plea deal with 9-11 masterminds was done at the same time, in order to diffuse public attention from this despicable act! In addition, when Israel is taking out terrorist enemies of both countries, the Obama-Biden regime is letting them off the hook. Is Biden et al shaking in their boots at Iran’s fury? Could also be a reason the Obama/Biden-State Dept terrir appeasers did it.
Beijing Biden and his handlers want Iran to continue to supply China with oil. China gets 80% of its oil from Iran. And of course, The handlers hate Israel and would love to see Iran destroy it.
The hard ban seems to make sense.
The prisoner swap was done by Biden/dems in order to make the Biden/Harris/ dems look like they are achieving something on the international stage, especially regarding Russia.
Putin agreed to the swap because he thinks it will enhance Harris/dems chances of defeating Trump/GOP in the November 2024 elections.
And they are correct.
Betting odds for a Trump/GOP win have now dropped from around 70 to 51 percent.
Which of course is also partly due to the Biden Corpse being replaced by
the Carnival Lady Laughing Big Mouth Kamala.
I just saw very different and more favorable betting odds for Teump. I truly do not believe anything I read.
This idiotic “diplomacy” will be forgotten by next week.
