Sorry, these are not the black lives that the Democrats and Black Lives Matter are looking for.
Chicago police say that one person has been killed and at least 32 others have been wounded in shootings across the city in a violent start to the weekend.
Here are some of the highlights of not letting the police do their job and stop criminals from opening fire.
In the 800 block of East Marquette at approximately 12:05 a.m., a 49-year-old woman was at a family gathering when she was shot in the left ankle. According to police, the woman was taken to the University of Chicago in good condition.
At approximately 12:43 a.m. in the 2800 block of West Division, a 12-year-old boy was standing on a sidewalk when shots were fired. He was hit in both knees, and is in good condition at Stroger Hospital, police said.
Meanwhile, over in New Orleans…
A violent weekend in New Orleans ended with three people dead and 14 others injured in 12 separate shooting incidents, most occurring in New Orleans East.
And murders are up over 50% in New York City. Sure, by all means, defund the police.
