Immigration deals are always gruesome jokes. They’re like watching a three-card monte routine in which the huckster isn’t even trying to hide that the whole thing is rigged. And the much-hyped Senate border deal is more of the same. By now everyone knows the drill. A border deal consists of legalizing illegal aliens and allowing more to come in exchange for security and enforcement measures that have more loopholes in them than a pasta strainer.
Take the “emergency closure” element of the border deal which is the big pitch for border security.
DHS could close the border if Border Patrol encountered 4,000 or more migrants on average over seven days. The border would have to be shut down if those encounters reached a seven-day average of 5,000 or if they exceeded 8,500 in a single day.
Since the Biden admin coordinates this stuff with the Mexican authority and various nonprofits guiding the invaders., it’s simple enough to make sure that border crossings remain under the trigger, especially since the whole point of the deal is providing “alternatives” and “legal pathways” to reduce migrant encounters.
That may not go according to plan, but even if it does…
The border couldn’t be shut down under this authority for more than 270 days in the first year. And the bill would give the president the power to suspend a border closure “on an emergency basis for up to 45 days if it is in the national interest.”
An authority that you can bet Biden will use. But what does an “emergency closure” even mean?
During an emergency closure, Border Patrol would still need to process a minimum of 1,400 migrants who try to enter the U.S. legally through ports of entry. Only unaccompanied minors would be able to cross between ports of entry.
A minimum of 1,400 migrants!
And all the “unaccompanied minors” who may well be 25-year-old cartel members will get a free pass.
Who doesn’t want an “emergency border closure” that will allow a minimum of 1,400 invaders a day?
(By the way, here’s one of my favorite poison pills in this thing. “Nothing in this section may be construed to interfere with any rights or responsibilities established through a settlement agreement in effect before the date of the enactment of this section.”
Will the Biden administration possibly enter into any settlements with illegal alien advocate groups before the date? The Magic 8-ball says, “Yes, obviously. What were you born yesterday?”)
We define “border security” very differently. Not to mention “emergency” and “closure.” Before any further border deals, Republicans and Democrats should really agree on a dictionary of common definitions. Like a common definition of closure.

Of course Schumer has concocted another obfuscating title for his border deal. Just like Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act did nothing to curb inflation, this border bill does zilch to control illegal immigration. In fact, it encourgages it under the guise of “controlling it” to protect national security — something that everyone knows Democrats don’t give a rat’s *** about.
Schumer’s “deal” is just another load of crap the Democrats are hoping to dump on the American people.
If Mike Johnson doesn’t deliver, he needs to be jettisoned.
There is only one border deal that makes sense.
Deport all illegal aliens from the USA now, and end the anchor baby racket.
Declare that Mexico is the enemy of the USA and US citizens.

The minimal solution to the invasion and devastation of the USA is to put 500,000 US military troops on the Mexican border, and deport all illegal aliens from the USA,
and shut down the anchor baby racket.

I’ve been posting nearly all this for YEARS on various sites – glad to see others are fed up and SEE what is happening!! One thing I’ll add!! When we DEPORT the MILLIONS – they go through the ONE WAY DOORS INTO Mexico! Mexico made their ‘deal with the devils” to allow all this so they can REAP what they have SOWN! And that will go for the MILLIONS of ILLEGAL MEXICANS here as well! When we get OUR HOUSE in order then we can look to ALLOW SOME LEGAL immigration! Those who we ALLOW to come in must be able to support themselves, speak and read ENGLISH, and REMAIN crime free! Try to ILLEGALLY “immigrate” into Mexico and see what you get for benefits!! If we deport the ILLEGALS working under the tables and put OUR CITIZENS back to work then that will be better in two ways – eliminate a lot of welfare and enlarge the tax base! Oh, and it might even reduce crime since people having to work might be a tad too tired to be out messing around! There are so MANY benefits to eliminating ILLEGALS – makes you wonder WHY the DEMOcrats (HYPOCRITES) fight it so hard!
Some of the invaders in New Dork City are getting $9000 a month, courtesy of us taxpayers. That’s $108,000 a year! I don’t make that much money anymore and I’m a non-criminal native born American. WTF!!??
