Welcome to California.
The only crime in California is opposing criminals.
I’m surprised that it took this long, but California’s Death Row of serial killers can breathe a sigh of relief. The Democrats are in power.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom plans to announce Wednesday an executive order that immediately establishes a moratorium on killing convicts on death row, USA TODAY learned Tuesday night.
California has 737 people on death row, about a quarter of the nation’s death row population and by far the most of any state. Some 24 of them have been convicted of murder and have exhausted their appeals, meaning they could be scheduled to die under Newsom’s governorship.
Not on Newsom’s watch.
The beneficiaries of Democrat bleeding heart compassion include the murderer of Polly Klaas, the Dating Game Killer, a serial killer and rapist whose death toll may be over 100, the Tool Box Killers, Albert Greenwood Brown, Jr, a rapist and murderer of little girls, one of the Trailside Killers, one of the Sunset Strip Killers, the Freeway Killer, who may have murdered and raped as many as 50 young men.
And the rest of the Democrat base.
Now that these monsters are off Death Row, how long until the Dems campaign for “criminal justice reform” to get their “voting rights restored”?
