The ‘Campaign for Nuclear Disarmanent’, a Communist front group set up to get Europe out from the American nuclear umbrella during the Cold War, has finally found someone’s nukes (besides those of the USSR) that it likes.

CND has demanded that Israel stop taking out Iran’s nuclear capabilities because, “both the International Atomic Energy Authority (IAEA) and the US director of national intelligence have stated that Iran is not actively pursuing a nuclear bomb. Iran is also a signatory to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.” The IAEA has actually stated that Iran is not in compliance and the only thing you can say about our “national intelligence” estimates is that they’re generally the opposite of whatever reality is.

Iran, which gets its electricity from natural gas, has spent billions developing nuclear capabilities and is aggressively pursuing enrichment while chanting “Death to America”. CND, which also opposes peaceful nuclear power, is happy to make an exception for Iran and to believe that it’s just trying to lower the cost of electricity (even though it already has some of the cheapest electricity in the world) but is always convinced that America and the rest of the free world are up to something nefarious when it comes to nuclear capabilities.

The same organization claiming that having nuclear weapons makes the UK a legitimate target in a war is completely willing to believe that Iran’s nuclear program is peaceful while calling Israel a “nuclear-armed genocidal regime” that should face sanctions and an embargo.

Israel and the UK must be disarmed, but not Iran.

At least CND has finally found some nukes it doesn’t want to disarm.
