The Democrats are feeling pretty confident. After breaking the country and wrecking the economy, terrorizing cities and putting millions out of work, they’re in a good place.

Unfortunately their candidate isn’t.

Joe Biden barely knows which day of the week it is. And that’s on a good day. On a bad day, he doesn’t know which year it is. Or who he is.

So why risk having Biden debate Trump?

And so an astroturf media campaign is growing to cancel the debates. 

The arguments are that debates are “insubstantial” and meaningless. Voters should make their decision based on what they hear from the media, not the candidates. After all, the media is a public service meant to inform voters. Isn’t it? 

All this stuff is transparently cynical. It also means that, if the Dems continue liking their poll numbers, there may be no debate. The way is being paved for presenting this to the public as the best possible solution to stop fake news, disinformation, and whatever other terms the lefties are using this week as proxies for censorship.

And so an already unprecedented campaign will only become more so.
