The Russian conspiracy theory has never been about facts.
It has not, contrary to Jim Baker’s recent post, been first and foremost about the Russians. It has always been about undermining Trump. Full stop. This, from Jim Comey, is a pungent reminder that Russiagate is a series of fact-free smears and conspiracy theories justifying anything.
Former FBI Director James Comey said Thursday that it is possible the Russians have leverage over President Donald Trump.
CNN’s Anderson Cooper asked Comey at a town hall in Washington, “Do you think the Russians have leverage over President Trump?”
“I don’t know the answer to that,” Comey responded.
“Think it’s possible?” Cooper asked.”Yes,” Comey responded, without hesitation.
Sure, why not?
Do we have any proof, nah. Unless you count that Clinton campaign report from that British hired gun even we thought was irresponsible.
Are we gonna make the accusation anyway even though our guy failed to prove collusion no matter how many people we threw in jail?
Sure, why not? It’s not like this has ever been about the facts.
