The smashing Conservative victory in Britain is a cause for celebration, although it’s rather like celebrating that you’re dying of cancer rather than heart disease, as it just postpones what still appears to be Britain’s inevitable civil war and collapse as a free society. Evidence of that came from one group that is not at all happy with Boris Johnson’s big win: Muslims.
The Independent lamented Friday: “British Muslims ‘fear for their future’ under Conservatives.”
This was an understatement. The Muslim Council of Britain, an organization that never saw a counter-terror initiative it liked, announced that it had “long-standing concerns about bigotry in our politics and our governing party,” as if we didn’t know. The MCB’s Harun Khan likened Johnson and the Conservatives to Hitler and the Nazis: “Mr Johnson commands a majority, but there is a palpable sense of fear amongst Muslim communities around the country. We entered the election campaign period with long standing concerns about bigotry in our politics and our governing party. Now we worry that Islamophobia is ‘oven-ready’ for government.”
“Oven-ready.” Yeah, sure. Harun Khan would have you believe that Boris Johnson is goose-stepping his way into 10 Downing Street as you read this, ready to study the blueprints for the Auschwitz gas chambers and ordering that they be replicated so as to implement a “final solution” for Muslims in Britain.
For her part, Baroness Warsi, a former Conservative cabinet minister, was less hysterical, but only marginally so. The Conservative Party, she said, “must start healing its relationship with British Muslims.” And she tweeted: “Endorsements from #TommyRobinson & #KatieHopkins & colleagues retweeting both is deeply disturbing. Independent Inquiry into #Islamophobia is a must first step. The battle to root out racism must now intensify.”
What race are Muslims again? Why, there are Muslims of all races. Why is opposing jihad mass murder and Sharia oppression of women a form of “racism”? The good baroness didn’t deign to inform us.
The Independent offered this explanation of why Muslims in Britain are now cowering in fear, waiting for that knock on the door at 2AM and the boxcar ride to the camps: “During the election campaign Mr Johnson came under fire for his past description of women wearing niqabs as looking like ‘letterboxes’, and was accused of personally contributing to rampant racism in Britain. He countered by saying he was ‘mounting a strong liberal defence of the right of women in this country to wear what they choose.’”
That’s right. The MCB thinks Boris Johnson is another Hitler, while Baroness Warsi is content to smear him as a racist, because he made a quip, and stands in defense of women’s right “to wear what they choose,” presumably against the threatening and physically menacing of Muslim women who choose not to wear the niqab or hijab.
All this is taking place against the backdrop of the near-total breakdown of the city of London, where the Muslim Mayor Sadiq Khan has presided over a sharp increase in knife crime, gang violence, and jihad terror attacks. But the MCB and Baroness Warsi have nothing to say about that. They haven’t said a word about Muslims’ “fear for their future” because of the fact that Britain’s largest and most important city is rapidly spiraling out of control and degenerating into chaos. No, what really bothers them is that Boris Johnson said something rude.
All this raises important questions about the real priorities and goals of the Muslim community in Britain – not that any establishment media “journalist” will dare ask them. Neither the Independent, nor the BBC or the Guardian or the Telegraph or even the Daily Mail, the Sun, or the Mirror have ever paused even for a moment to wonder why it has become the common journalistic standard to consider the slightest determination to resist jihad terror to be a manifestation of “racism” and “hatred.” The Independent, in reporting on the hysterical reaction of Muslim leaders to the Conservative victory, apparently never bothered to challenge those leaders on their basic premises, and ask them why they were angrier about Johnson’s quip than about the rapid decay of a great and historic city.
Nevertheless, the Conservatives have won big, and now Johnson will almost certainly make overtures to Warsi and the MCB, and try to ensure that Muslims and non-Muslims in Britain will march together into the glorious multicultural future. He and his countrymen are in for a big surprise, but after the results of the last election, that surprise will come later rather than sooner.
