“Irresponsible”. I don’t think he knows what that word means.
Sen. Cory Booker (D., N.J.) said in an interview published Wednesday that it would be “irresponsible” for him to not consider a presidential run in 2020.
“Of course the presidency will be something I consider. It would be irresponsible not to,” Booker told New York Magazine.
And he’s modest too.
Cory Booker could mean one of two things.
1. It would be irresponsible of him to deny the nation the opportunity to make use of his talent for crying on camera.
2. It would be irresponsible of him not to push the Peter Principle to the ultimate limit by making the most of his career
I assume he means No. 2, because surely No. 1 would be ludicrous. Not even Obama was sufficiently egomaniacal to claim that it would be irresponsible of him not to run for office. I’m sure he believed it, but I don’t think he actually said it around reporters.
That would mean that Cory Booker spends even more time lovingly gazing into his own eyes in a mirror than Obama did.
