Time for some more acting classes.
The dirty deal that put Cory Booker into the Senate also got him to shake up his old shtick (Oprahesque mysticism and pandering to Jews) for a new shtick, (lefty tantrums and pandering to anti-Israel activists) and it’s not working out so well.
In a CNN poll, Booker is barely up over non-candidates like John Kerry and Michael Bloomberg.
In the race for the Democratic nomination to face Trump, former Vice President Biden leads a massive potential field. The poll asked Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents to choose their preferred presidential nominee among 16 possible candidates. Biden tops the list with 33% support, followed by independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, the 2016 runner-up, at 13%. Sen. Kamala Harris of California follows at 9%, with Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts at 8%. Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey and 2004 Democratic nominee John Kerry garnered 5% support.
Gillibrand clocks in at 1%, as does Avenatti. Holder comes in at 3%, Bloomberg at 4% and the leading pretend Hispanic in Texas at 4%.
Name recognition is a key factor here, but Bernie and Warren are clearly crowding each other. They can’t both run. And if they do, they’ll neutralize each other.
Harris has put her money to good use and is out front. Booker’s bid is crashing and burning. After all his political stunts, he’s stuck in the back of the clown car with Kerry, and other non-candidates. Bloomberg just signaled possible interest and is already at 4%.
That’s pretty good.
Booker has worked for years just to earn 1% over a cold fish who may not even run. And he’s even with a failed former candidate.
That’s bad, Cory. Really bad.
