“Win or lose, fans of the Philly Eagles go out into the street and smash things. Whoever wins on Election Day, leftists will smash things,” is how I began my recent article ‘Fear and Loathing on the Left’.
Washington D.C. businesses aren’t waiting until the riots begin or until Election Day to begin boarding up.
With just days ahead of the election, some buildings within blocks from the White House have boarded up their store fronts.
During a public safety meeting last week, Ward 2 Councilmember Brooke Pinto brought up the concern of residents and businesses owners to DC Mayor Muriel Bowser.
“We are already getting requests from businesses if they should board up. We are getting requests about people moving trash cans inside,” Pinto said.
Consider this a parallel to the betting markets. Except that lots of people make dumb calculations while gambling while in this case it’s small business who don’t want to gamble with their livelihood.
“We will not tolerate any violence of any kind. We will not tolerate any riots. We will not tolerate the destruction of property. We will not tolerate any unlawful behavior. Offenders will be arrested and held accountable,” DC Police Chief Pamela Smith said.
Unless they’re leftists in which case they’ll be out with a desk appearance ticket in 5 minutes.
How dumb does Pam really think D.C. storeowners are? They’ve seen leftists riot repeatedly in Congress, punch police officers and walk away with nothing. They lived through the BLM riots. They know the rioters will go unpunished so they’re preparing to protect themselves.
Although often ignored, there was violent Leftist rioting in D.C. on inauguration day in 2017 (and, of course, in 2020).
A woman mayor and police chief? No wonder the Washington District of Corruption is so dysfunctional.

Win or lose. Excellent points. Either way they have an excuse for rioting and looting. And those big glass storefront windows are expensive, not to mention the looting of the store. Even if they have insurance, the premiums go up.

That reminded me of something: the randomness of vandalism. After seeing a lot of vandalized areas in the East Bay (SF Bay) I noticed the vandalism was kind of random: only a certain percentage of items were vandalized, it wasn’t complete. The vandals would only hit a few items or places and leave the rest alone.
Yes, wood burns, and if looters want what’s inside, they just pry the wood loose with crowbars and smash the windows with steel mallets. Some were caught on surveillance camera doing that to a boarded up store just last week.

Now, if peaceful Trump protesters dare march to protest another election theft the military has its orders to gun them down.
Is it any wonder a US military base in the southwest recently fired an employee for making ‘disparaging’ remarks about communism? Yes, the Military News reported he was first marked an insider threat, removed, and subsequently fired by his contract house.
Think long and hard on that one.
The politicos have no problem when other cities burn as long as it doesn’t upset their own rice bowls. If it happens on their own front yard, then it becomes an issue. It’s all about them, American citizens be damned.
