This is how you know the Mueller investigation, once touted as a Trump-killer, has ended as anything more than another cash-grab.
You know it’s over when they’re signing the book contracts.
Andrew Weissmann, one of special counsel Robert Mueller’s top prosecutors, is writing a book for Random House focused on his work during the Russia investigation, the New York Times reports.
The big picture: Weissman’s book will be one of the first inside looks from Mueller’s team, but the Times reports that it’s not clear if it’ll provide any new revelations or details about how the investigation operated.
The famously leak-free investigation that is.
Weissmann was arguably the man behind Mueller. His famously aggressive tactics were all over the investigation. And they gave the media and Dems plenty of thrills. But they, once again, backfired.
After all the fireworks, the #resistance has been left with empty hands waiting, hope against hope, for a Weissmann book to fill them.
At that’s left is writing his memoirs.
