When your entire argument on every issue imaginable is racism, you have only one thing to say and everyone knows what it is. Even if you have to sound like a clown doing it.
House Majority Whip James Clyburn (D-S.C.) lambasted Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) on Sunday for saying a vote on changing voting rights laws must be bipartisan.
So much for that whole “democracy” thing that Democrats claim to care about.
Appearing on “Fox News Sunday,” Clyburn told Fox News anchor Bret Baier that’s Manchin’s suggestion of requiring bipartisan support for voting tights caused him “pain.”
And the Democrats should totally be allowed to seize control of state elections on a narrow party-line vote because we’re a dictatorship and anyone who disagrees is causing Clyburn “pain”.
“I am, as you know, a black person, descended of people who were given the vote by the 15th Amendment to the United States Constitution. The 15th Amendment was not a bipartisan vote. It was a single-party vote that gave black people the right to vote,” Clyburn told Baier.
What Clyburn is trying to say, quite awkwardly, is that no Democrats supported the bill and it passed on a party-line Republican vote.
Maybe the lesson here then is that Democrat votes are racist and Republican votes are not.
That said, the fifteenth amendment banned states from preventing people from voting because of their race, the Dem push, despite claiming to be about racial voting rights, is about allowing the Feds to seize control of nationwide elections, and if you’re going to do that, a bipartisan vote is a bare minimum.
That or a coup.
